The Case
Well, after watching Shrek, and with plans to go see Shrek the Third, how could I even think about skipping a viewing of Shrek 2? Answer: I couldn't! I popped the second in the loveable, if ill-tempered, ogre series into my DVD player and sat back for an additional hour and a half of non-stop laughs and enjoyment! And the big green monster delivered yet again!

The second Shrek has all of the appeal of the first, with more! How could you not love that? The mockery of other children's movies is stronger than ever, the humor...

The original Shrek movie was so great, for me there was no way a sequel could be as good. But still, Shrek II was enjoyable. I love movies that the entire family can watch together & has something everyone can relate to & enjoy.
Michael Myers & Eddie Murphy do such a great job as Shrek & Donkey. They play off of each other so well, and make me laugh all the time. Especially Donkey. Kids love him! (and so do I!) Cameron Diaz does great as Fionna too. And in the sequel you get so many more terrific characters! Who wouldn't fall in love with Puss, the cat played by Antonio Banderas?...

This is by far my favorite Shrek movie out of all three in the series. After the first Shrek movie came out to DVD, I bought it and fell in love with it. It was so hilarious. Right about that time was when my oldest daughter really got into watching cartoons and movies. She instantly fell in love with Princess Fiona and we both got into watching the movie over and over.
I personally like Shrek 2 better than the first one just because it introduces a new character, Puss in Boots. He is by far my favorite character in the movie because his little innocent kitty eyes are...

I love this movie! It is not just a kiddie movie, but great for adults as well. Sherk 2 has terrific writing, an all star cast and is extremely funny and entertaining, even my husband liked this movie and he is not a movie buff. Rupert Everett is one of my favorite actors so it was nice to hear his voice as the wicked prince charming. Mike Myers is a comic genius and the supporting cast is terrific. The whole family can enjoy this movie, but I would not reccomend it to very young children because of some of the jokes and subject matter. Shrek 2 is definitley going in my movie library
The second of three (so far) movies about an ogre, a donkey, a princess, and a bunch of misfit fairy tale characters, Shrek 2 delivers more laughs than the first movie.
This movie delivered more laughs, had a great story, hilarious characters, and a top-tapping soundtrack (except for a few less than "heroic" songs).
A must for family movie night!
No gratuitous sex scenes, violence, or foul language.
