Shrek 2 Review

The original Shrek movie was so great, for me there was no way a sequel could be as good.  But still, Shrek II was enjoyable.  I love movies that the entire family can watch together & has something everyone can relate to & enjoy.

Michael Myers & Eddie Murphy do such a great job as Shrek & Donkey.  They play off of each other so well, and make me laugh all the time.  Especially Donkey.  Kids love him! (and so do I!)  Cameron Diaz does great as Fionna too.  And in the sequel you get so many more terrific characters!  Who wouldn't fall in love with Puss, the cat played by Antonio Banderas?

Fionna's parents struggle to accept Shrek as part of the family, and Shrek doesn't make it any easier on himself.  Towards the end of the movie, Shrek is transformed into a great looking guy & Donkey is turned into a Stallion, and for me, this was the BEST part of the movie.  I was laughing outloud and so were the kids.
