We've owned this shop-vac for a couple of years and use it for everything from cleaning up small spills to cleaning out the cars to cleaning up dust from my husband's woodworking hobby. The small size makes it light weight enough to hold it up while you vacuum out the ceiling air vents. You will have to purchase replacement filters occassionally but they are inexpensive. My only complaint it that the power cord is rather short. You'll need an extension chord handy.
