Shockwave —

This site is great. I was tired of downloading free trials of games and having the game close up just when I was figuring out how to use it. I signed up for the Shockwave unlimited and it has been worth every penny. I have several games on my desktop that I play when I get a chance and even my husband joins in. When you figure that these games cost on average about $20 to "own" it's worth it to pay the membership fee for a year if you are like me and like to try out new games. I had purchased two games in the past for $20 a piece and really wish I would have found Shockwave before that.

Since joining Shockwave on their monthly plan, its more affordable for me to just pay the $10 a month right now, I think I've only bought one game. The reason for that is because I wanted to own it and play it whenever I wanted on any computer I chose. While it does stink you have to have internet access to enter the license key after that you don't need internet because you can play it unlimited offline. I really can't afford to spend $20 per game so with Shockwave I get to try lots of types of games and can beat the game without every owning it. Shockwave is fantastic, but there is a benefit to buying a game every now and then, it's yours forever. I can only count on one hand though the games Shockwave has that I would consider buying. Not because they aren't good quality games, but because its unnecessary cause you can play as many games as you want for as long as you want for only $10 a month.
