This is a great cleanser. I have sesitive skin and american products usually break me out or make my skin super dry, not shiseido though! (But that's because Shiseido is a japanese cosmetics company). I use the cleanser once a day with my clarisonic. It cleans my skin really well! Much better than proactiv, whch did nothing but break my out after awhile. The cleanser comes with small, blue exfoliating beads, which are suppose to exfoliate dead skin cells. However, I found that the exfoliating beads don't really do anything. There's too little of them to actually fully exfoliate my face. No problem there though, since I use a separate exfoliator and I bought this products mainly for the purpose of cleansing. A little goes a long way. I bought this in June 2009 and has been using the same bottle ever since. After over a year, I still have some left in the bottle (I wash my face everyday, once a day, sometimes more).

I've been using this cleanser for more than two years now and would never use any other cleanser again! No need to look for a seperate exfoliator because this product works both as a cleanser and an exfoliator. I personally love this product because I have oily skin and am acne prone. This Shiseido cleansing foam deeply cleans my face without stripping off any of the natural oils on my face. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and completely clean. The best thing about it is that you need just a small dab of product and you get an incredible amount of foam and cleansing. There's no harmful chemicals or irritating fragrances so you cannot go wrong with this product. This specific cleanser comes from Shiseido's Pureness skin care line which targets acne and oily skin. Pair this cleanser up with the moisturizer, toner, and spot treatment and you're good to go. Especially since I have sensitive skin, this product has helped out a lot with my own acne problems.

I have been combating acne and oily skin most of my life and I was very reluctant when my sister introduced me to this product.  I actually have the whole set now with the cleanser and the toner (which I use 1-2 times a day) and I simply love these products.  It is easy to apply and although it says foam it's not really a foam.  It is easy to rinse off and leaves your skin feeling clean which is one of the things I look for the most when I use a cleanser.  It smells great as well and doesn't make your skin oily, red, or irritated.  You only need a little cleanser to cover your entire face so you save a lot of money that way.  The only downside is that it can be a little over drying if you use it too much but it does leave your skin feeling super duper clean.  I only use it 2 times a day (morning and night) and I don't ever feel like my skin is too dry but I wouldn't recommend using it more than 2 times a day.  You can also buy the moisturizer for it too but I think any moisturizer will do if you are afraid of over drying your skin.

I have been using Shiseido pureness deep cleansing foam for the last 10 years and I still always revert back to this cleanser.  I am currently 27 years old and started using this when I was a teenager.  I have clear skin - maybe get a pimples a few times a year and have semi-sensitive combination skin.   I have intermittenly tried other cleansers out there but I can never find anything that washes my face as well as this so always end up coming back to it.  First off, the smell is absolutely wonderful!  It has a very clean and fresh scent.  Secondly, it has these small microbeads that really get deep down into your pores and leaves you feeling so refreshed!  The best part of this cleanser is the way you feel after you're done washing your face.  Your face feels so clean and alive - it's really an eye opener in the mornings.  With that said, this cleanser is not really for those with dry skin because I can see how it could be overdrying for some people.  I am a bit obsessed with getting my skin super clean every single night so this cleanser is perfect for me.  I just make sure to moisturize immediately after drying off my face.
