I have never stained cement before, but the condo complex where I live said everything has to be a certain way.  Light Grey was the only color, and that was fine with me, my lanai cement was cracked, stained and so dark in spots and ugly. Sherwin Williams to the rescue!   This was just as easy as painting, and I used an old large Maxwell house coffee can for the stain once mixed.  I also used a lot of newspaper and took all furniture off of my 9 x 11 lanai.  After the first coat it looked good, but I wanted better, sO I took My medication and a nap with my cat Midnight while it dried.  When we awoke the cement floor was dry, I put on a 4 cup pot of coffee and was ready to go.  It Looks marvelous!  What I forgot, to seal it, so soon I will with delight be returning to Sherwin Williams for another can of stain and the sealer.  This way I wont have to do it again for years. Now I enjoy sitiing alone with my cat, or with family and friends.  Next I will only need outdoor blinds and I am set!
