A great spot for the business traveler.    This place is never quiet.  Not much in NYC is!  The staff are always helpful.  Very accommodating when checking in and out.  Always willing to point you in the right direction on getting around the city.    The rooms are large for NYC standards.   Beds are comfortable with enough room to get some work done.   Highspeed hook ups are very reliable.  Wireless in the lobby making the afternoon meeting at the Library bar very productive.  (Be sure to get a bowl of the chips!)      The sports bar has great servers and wireless as well.

Its central location 52nd and 7th keeps you walking distance to the theater's, great restaurants, and all the trains.

If you are looking for trendy head for the W.  The Sheraton is very vanilla but, they keep you comfortable.

Thanks for the advice! I've yet to get to NYC (i'm kinda skeered of big cities). I want to but every time I look at all the hotel options I get overwhelmed. I'll look into this one!

We've been lucky - our daughter and new son-in-law live in Manhattan in a 2 bedroom. They're moving to CT which is great. I'm happy for them but we do lose a free place to stay! jo

Great review! I have stayed here as well as Sheraton Manhattan many times. It is not quaint or super high end, but it very well located, clean and gets the job done. It is also often one of the more affordable options for business travel.
