Sheraton Cable Beach Resort - Nassau, Reviews

The Sheraton Cable beach Resort was beyond expectations. We were greeted by friendly hotel staff from the time we stepped out of the taxi until we reached our room. Even though the hotels' other wing was undergoing serious renovation, I would consider it a minor interuption to our stay. The room was wonderful, and can I say that it is rare that I feel comfortable enough to dive into any hotel bed and snuggle pillows. I did just that and slept like a queen!! Our room wasn't ready so we were upgraded to a partial ocean view. Some of the staff could have been a little more friendly. The room was very nice and clean. One side of the hotel is still undergoing renovation which was kind of unsightly but it wasn't a big deal. The elevator on our end of the hotel was out of order so we got lots of exercise walking from the lobby elevators around to our room at the extreme end. Very nice area off their beach to snorkel. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and felt that the staff really tried to make our stay enjoyable. Unfortunately (?fortunately) there was a lot of construction and renovation going on. The room itself was large and comfortable. We overlooked the pools and ocean so the view was perfect. Storage for clothing and stuff was more than adequate and my wife says that the bathroom had superb lighting for doing the things that women do in the bathroom. The staff was amazing,helping you out with everything and smiling all the time! The hotel had everything you needed! The beach in the garden and also a great pool with caves! And the other pool had a bar,so the chairs was in the pool,realy cool! And two different restaurants: one buffe with all the food you could imagine and one more clasy italian inspired restaurant! Sheraton Cable beach is okay. Property is almost done but not quite there. It will be great when (1) all elevators are working, (2) there are retail stores on the ground floor, and (3) the internal connection to the Wyndham is done. Staff is nice but they MUST staff the front desk with more people. I encountered and witnesses lines about 10 deep with one or two people working. The day we left everyone had to get there card reset because everyone got a late checkout, but there was only one person working. Real pain in the ass. We decided to try the Bahams after spending holidays in other tropical locations. The Bahamas were great and we found the Sheraton to be a nice clean and safe hotel. The pools and beach are excellent here, but dining is very limited. The buffet is a waste of money. Next door to the Sheraton is the Crystal Palace casino, which is very nice and much like a Las Vegas casino. Even though the hotel in undergoing renovations, its still clean and non-intrusive for a stay here. WE were a little disappointed due to the fact the Sheraton was under renovation construction. It was our luck that we had picked a hotel that was not running at 100%... the STAFF was wonderful and the room we had gotten had just been remodeled, for the better. I believe in a couple of months this will be the place to stay in Nassau. The beaches were wonderful and the location is just far enough from Downtown and the hustle and bustle of the city. My wife and I needed a get away and this hotel was a great choice for us. The pool area is beautiful with a private beach. The rooms were nicely decorated and contemporary with nice views. the construction was not that big of a deal. everything once you get there is really expensive, ie food, long distance, snacks. the water went during my shower, the elevator stopeed once.
