If I were to review Sheer Cover's mineral makeup itself, I would say that it works great. Two shades of mineral makeup are given so you can mix them for a natural look; they don't have that annoying pink or yellow undertone to them like a lot of the drugstore brands have, so that's a plus. The amount of coverage is entirely in the user's control. You can do minimal coverage and still look great, but, if necessary, you can do maximum coverage without the look of it being caked on. This makeup is also good for those prone to acne because it is oil-free and doesn't clog pores. In fact, since I began using mineral makeup, my acne has disappeared drastically!
The only reason why I gave Sheer Cover a 3 star rating is because the company itself is a disappointment. I first heard about their makeup when watching a TV ad where they were advertising their start-up kit at a really great price ($29.95). I went online and ordered it, and based on the information listed on their website was under the impression that you could lock in that same low price for future makeup orders. When I ordered another kit after the trial kit was done, I saw a $29.95 charge on my credit card and thought nothing of it. It wasn't until the next month where I saw yet another $29.95 charge on my credit card. I called up their customer service and was informed that I was to pay three consecutive payments of $29.95 for the makeup!! That means customers will end up paying nearly $100 (including S&H) for their reorders! (You might as well go to Sephora and get Bare Escentuals for $60 without having to pay S&H!!!)
All in all, the makeup itself works great, but I feel the company is dishonest and engages in false advertising. It's not worth the hassle! I cancelled my account with them and have now switched to using Bare Escentuals. It's cheaper, works even better, and you can buy it at local stores for $60 without having to pay S&H!
