I have become a quick fan of Sheba cat foods after discovering just how good the ingredients are that they provide. This particular version of their wet cat foods is their Premium Cuts Tuna Fillet Dinner With Sauce. It comes in a dome shaped container, with 2.8 ounces of their wet cat food inside. The top has a thin strip of aluminum that peels back to open up the little can. When you open it up, you see that they aren't kidding when they say that it is premium cuts included.
The food itself is real chunks of tuna, which look like they are almost good enough to eat myself, if it wasn't for the sauce that they have mixed in with it. The sauce serves as a sort of gravy, and I am sure that it is an additional thing that attracts the cats to this food. The thing that attracted me to it was the short list of ingredients, which only includes water, tuna fillets, tapioca starch and guar gum. It looked tempting to the cats too, and they were really excited by the aroma as I started serving it up to them.
The three cats that I have really enjoyed the food right away, and it was pretty easy to tell that they would enjoy having seconds. I serve the Sheba over some other dry foods, and it tends to go over very well with their taste buds. I like that the tuna has real chunks without a lot of additives thrown in there, and I think that the cats enjoy having a lot of fish as well. They cleaned their dishes with no issues at all, and guaranteed that I would be purchasing this brand of Sheba for them again.
The real ingredients are the thing that drew me to this Sheba cat food, and I think it will be one that goes into their rotation of foods. They like the fish a lot, and all three of them liked the chunks of tuna. There is a ton going for this food, with only one small thing working against it; the cost. The cans sell for around $1.19 to $1.39 depending on where you go, and for that cost, you do get a good quality food. It could price the Sheba out of the price range of some consumers, but let me tell you, it is well worth it to avoid those negative additives that so many foods use today. I highly recommend this version of Sheba food, and give it 5 out of 5 stars.
