Schick quattro

Schick quattro
Willing to pay for quality

NOV

The Schick Quattro Razor is not a bad razor that will give a pretty close shave.  However, i have found that for the price I prefer razors made by other brands, such as the Gillette Mach 3 or Mach 3 Turbo.  The Quattro gives a close shave, but it gave more me skin irritation that other comparable brands I have used in the past.  They are not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, so if I'm paying good money for a set of disposable razors I want them to be comfortable.  There is a strip on the razor that tells you when it needs to be replaced, and according to that strip a razor only gives...

Gillette Fusion 4-pc Mega Holiday Gift Pack

Gillette Fusion 4-pc Mega Holiday Gift Pack
budget-conscious, married, buying for others

NOV

2009

I've come to realize that men's shaving products, such as razors, are EXPENSIVE!  I think the amount that they charge for a razor is just outrageous, and I refuse to pay regular price for something that will be used and thrown away.  During the holiday season, most name brand razors are offered in a gift set that offers an amazing savings AND several full-sized grooming products that make great holiday gifts.  When the holidays approach, I begin looking for these razor gift sets for my husband, and stock up while the price is so good.

My husband really likes the Gillette Fusion razor because...

I absoultely love love this razor. It has four blades, conditioning strips and you dont need any shaving cream. Its all here. The four blades are surrounded on all sides by a block of s lid shaving cream like lotion. When you wet the solid part it gets slimy and starts to lather a little and then you just start shaving. Its good for legs and underarms. Its leaves a close shave and you skin really soft. They have a few different kinds to choose from.I have the sensitive skin  razor now.Its easty to used and hold.I haven't dropped it yet.Its also faster. As a single mom with three kids I need something that...

Gillette Venus Vibrance

Gillette Venus Vibrance
Willing to pay for quality

NOV

2009
I picked up a Venus Vibrance Gillette shaver and the packaging led me to believe I was getting an electric razor. In reality, all the battery did was cause the shaver to vibrate, but I couldn't tell it made any difference in my skin than using just a disposable razor. It did a nice job shaving...which is what it's supposed to do, but nothing special. I was also surprised that using a shaving gel was recommended (I normally just use soap.) so had to use my husband's.

Smooth Away - As Seen on TV Smooth Away- As seen on TV
Willing to pay for quality

NOV

2009

I recieved this as a christmas present last december and of course I tried it immediately.

I was happy that it had so many replacement pads and two different sized holders.

I used it on one area on my arm as seen on television.

It said to use for five minutes or so and the area would be clear of all hair.

I looked down at my arm after about  ten minutes and there was no hair removed so I kept

going. I checked again after five more minutes and there was still no hair gone, so i kept

up until about thirty minutes passed and there was only one hair gone and my arm was

comepletely red and irritated....

As Seen on TV Smooth Away

As Seen on TV Smooth Away
into trying new things, budget conscious

NOV

Don't bother! If you're one of those people who watches infomercials and thinks "this is too good to be true," that's probably the best time to change the channel before you have a chance to be converted and consequently SWINDLED. I decided to check this out before I saw it for pretty cheap at a discount store. I brought it home and started lightly buffing circles on my ankle. It did seem to be making the skin smoother (sanding it away) but it wasn't doing much to remove the hair anytime fast. Eventually, I managed to clear a patch, but I wasn't about to spend an hour doing the rest and my other...

As Seen on TV Smooth Away

As Seen on TV Smooth Away
a dry skin sufferer, troubled by acne, Willing to pay for quality, unhappy consumer

NOV

2009

I bought Smooth Away and feel like it was a waste of money. It left my skin soft but it also left my hair where it was. I kept trying to remove the hair and instead removed my skin. It should be called peel your skin away! I do not recommend it for people that have sensitive skin, Smooth Away feels like sandpaper.

Just because a product was discovered or made in Europe, it does not mean the product is good. And what about that part of the ad where she smooths away her arm pit, that does not work either.

They claim it works for men too. Yet,if it did not work for me and I am a woman, how...

Venus venus spa

Venus venus spa
Willing to pay for quality, busy mom

NOV

2009

I am a busy Mom of twin five year olds and I travel extensively.  This is the most convenient product.  It combines a razor and shaving gel all in one.  I have used Venus razors for a couple of years, so when the Spa version became available I immediately purchased this functional and attractive razor.  As soon as the package is opened you smell the crisp, clean smell of a spa.  The built in gel allows the razor to glide smoothly over your skin with no nics and cuts that a traditional "man's razor" provides.  This is definitely the best razor they have developed so far.  The replacement...

I have been using Nair Products  for more than 10 years and still every new product just seems to amaze me. When i first started shaving my legs, i started with a razor ofcourse and after the 2nd time i started getting razor bumps and alot of ingrown hairs. So i soon decided to try everything possible, waxing kits, different creams to put after shavin to prevent bumps..stc.. Nothing worked..It actually reached a stage where i could not put a razor on my legs. i then discovered NAIR after the first time it was amazing.. and i have been using it ever since

Venus Venus Breeze

Venus Venus Breeze
au 'naturale', Willing to pay for quality, fun loving, busy mom

NOV

2009

The Venus Breeze shaver is definately worth the money. I used to go and steal my husband's razor because it had multiple blades and a moisturizing strip built right in to it. It gave me the cleanest, closest shave ever. He got sick of it and bought the Venus Breeze for me, which I thought I wasn't going to like at all. I HATED the Intuition razor because the gel was too much and I felt like I couldn't actually get the blades close enough to my skin to provide any kind of smooth shave. The Breeze is smaller but lasts forever, and because it has 5 blades, the shave is super close too. I had tried...

Titanium Titanium3 titanium coated blades

Titanium Titanium3 titanium coated blades
value conscious

NOV

2009

I went to Dollar General looking for a razor.  One that would be reliable for a decent price that the whole family could use.  Being a working mom on a small budget w/two teenage boys and one whom shaves.  This Titanium3 was a good investment. It is priced low and the extra blades can be sold in 2 or 3 blades at reasonable price. There is a Vitamin E & Aloe strip that changes from blue to white as to indicate when to change the blade out.  The three blades make a close shave whether its on ladies legs, underarms or other places, then to shave a man's face..  The blades don't drag across...
