I tried the Sharpie Ultra-Fine marker a few years ago, when working on a filing cabinet organization project at work. I need something to permanently mark folder tabs, but a thin line to write with. Not only did it do the job, but it has become a favorite of mine for decorating book covers, writing in scrapbooks, and labeling photos, files, and even recipe cards. I've also found it to be very reliable, as in using it, I've left the lid off for as long as 15 minutes before, and worried that I'd let it dry out; but no, it keeps on writing like new. I've seen comments that it dries out if the user forgets to replace the cap after use... obviously, it may do this if it's altogether forgotten for, say, days or weeks, perhaps. But as I said, it's reliable for at least a quarter hour while capless and not being used. The assortment of available colors is also impressive - this makes using it on scrapbooking, or any craft or art project, ideal. Excellent product!
