Okay, I'm a Sharpie fanatic. I admit it. I'll also admit that I really, really love a good pen. In fact, my sister has claimed that I have a borderline inappropriate relationship with office supplies, after seeing just HOW many pens I carry with me at any given time. I color-code my life, write everything down, and expect to use a pen that works and gives me great lines and color, or else. I won't throw a pen away, but I will donate it to a cashier at the grocery store if I hate it.
I saw Sharpie pens in the stores around Christmastime this past year, and bought a set of two for my own stocking (long story there). There is very little that I dislike about these pens. They write smoothly, have a great fine point to them, have less "smell" than their marker counterparts, are permanent, and don't leak through any paper on which I've tried them. I'm going to try them on some of my scrapbooking projects, too. This may be a trivial thing, but the caps stay on! I hate it when I have a pen in my purse that loses its cap and leaves marks on the purse lining, plus the added upset of having to figure out if I've lost the cap entirely or if it's just lost in the cavern that is my handbag. Also a huge asset- they didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
If I were to change anything about these pens, I would probably request that the company come out with a wider variety of colors, as they have done with their permanent markers. Currently, their website advertises basic black (which I own), blue, red, and green. I believe that there is a great market out there for them to advertise for these to be used for scrapbooking. They are a household name, and should have no problem finding buyers for their product. I know I'm on the list!
Thank you, Sharpie, for making pens for ME!
