Bottom-Line: For everyday office or home use the Sharpie Permanent Markers should be at the top of any shopping list.
The search for the prefect permanent marker is made easy by the invention of the world renowned and ever useful Sharpie Permanent Marker by Sanford. Anyone who has used a Sharpie Permanent Marker knows that I am talking about. Permanent makers are an ever useful utility pen, especially when you want the ink you apply to really stand out and last. From moving cartons/boxes, to CD & DVD's, to mailing labels, the permanent marker is a must, and the Sharpie Permanent Marker by Sanford is the best.
Big and fat-for the most part-Sharpie Permanent Markers fit comfortably between the fingers. Two-thirds of the all plastic barrel is colored grey, while remaining third is in the color of the ink within, as is the removable cap covering the tip. This makes finding the color you want an easy chore-no, Sharpies do not come in just black any more. Each Sharpie removable cap houses a clip for securing it to you lucky shirt pocket or notebook.
The business end of the Sharpie Permanent Markers houses one of several different tips from the traditional fat, to the new micro fine. Other sizes include bullet, magnum, king, chisel, super twin, twin, super, fine, extra fine, ultra fine.
For the most part the maker's looks have not been deceiving, the instrument does write rather well and without nasty blotches. The ink is always at the ready and the pen glides effortlessly across that page, and goes on smooth without bleed and or jagged edges. Blame the fast drying ink for that.
The Sharpie Permanent Marker by Sanford, no matter its size or color is the best marker on the market for my money. Yes, they cost a little more than other permanent markers, but they are well work the expense.
For everyday office or home use the Sharpie Permanent Markers should be at the top of any shopping list. I use mine mainly for labeling CD's (ultra fine tip), the list of possible other applications is endless...I have also used the marker on plastic, and it applied.
