Thinking of getting an air purifier for your home or office? Our reviewers had mixed feelings about the Sharper Image Professional Plus Ionic Breeze Air Purifier. On the positive end one value conscious reviewer says that “this machine works really good to clean out the air around you.” How well does this machine work? “When they are full & stop working, you notice immediately” says a pet owner. Another sign that the Ionic Breeze works is that reviewers who smoke report that people complain less about the smoky smell of their houses, now that they own the breeze. It should be noted that one reviewer had a bad experience with the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze “it had to be repaired after the first year….it came back repaired but also with another part attached to it to filter out it’s own emissions!!!” she reports.

We bought two refurbished models in 2003. I just changed the bulb in one of them. That's more than 4 years later. — We also have a desktop model in a child's bedroom. A bathroom model in one bathroom, and another bathroom model in another child's bedroom. — Perhaps you may take for granted the fresh clean air while it is working... — But when I come home from work, and the one we keep in the living room area/kitchen is full and shuts off... We bought 2 ionic breeze units and feel very taken by Sharper Image, One already is out of service and the other i vacume all the dust off the exterior unit. I bought these units thinking thy would be great in our bedroom and guest room to collect dust in the room while we sleep to protect us from poor air in an older home. What a waste of money I spent to provide myself and family with an air cleaner from a name I thought could be trusted.The broken unit I only cleaned once and I waited for the filter to dry before installing, than we put it together and nothing happens. too busy to make beds, neat freak, cost-conscious
The Sharper Image Ionic Breeze Air Purifier starts out very promising. It virtually sucks the dust from the air and collects it all on the removable, cleanable inner piece. After time though, there are parts of the unit that you CAN'T clean and eventually the dust and grease build up (especially if you have an open floor plan and you cook a lot), makes the unit crackle so much so that it sounds like a bug zapper. The outside of the unit itself also tends to collect dust so there are a lot of parts to try to keep clean. Wanting a quiet room outweighed the benefits of leaving the unit on.…

Sharper Image Professional Plus Ionic Breeze Air Purifier, is an outstanding product. Yes its a little pricey but it is so worth it. Why because you will never have to buy another air purifier again. Also you don't have to worry about changing the filter. All you do is wipe it clean with a damp cloth and thats it. So simple and it makes life simple for a working mom like myself. Best of all the main reason I like this product is because it helps with the asthmatic. I have a son who has asthma and the air in this house has to be clean and fresh. Initially, I purchased 2 Ionic Breeze Air Purifiers and they worked so well that I went online and purchased 6 more to cover several other rooms in my home. We live in a fairly dusty area and noticed a constant sneezing before buying these units. Afterwards, my whole house smells so very fresh and I no longer sneeze at all. This machine works really good to clean out the air around you, but the only big cons is the price. It is $500 machine and compare to the other one from wal-mart and k-mart, this is the one cost more than 3 times on the price. The only thing I can convince u to buy this machine is 5 years warranty. The Ionic Breeze Air Purifier keeps your rooms feeling comfortable and fresh. I used this purifier in my dorm in college and fell in love with it.It kept my dorm feeling cleaner than any other individuals dorm I walked in to. It made me not want to leave my room. This product is all Hype. It is a pain to maintain and does little to nothing for air quality. Too much $$$ for this product to not even come close to what it says it will do. I went out a purchased a Kenmore (made by Sharp) Plasma Air Purifier from Sears ( after a little more research online). For a sub $500 (only cost me $220) the Kenmore is a great choice!!
