The Sharp Countertop Microwave R409YW is smaller than I anticipated even though the dimensions were clearly put on the box and in the advertisement. But after taking it out of the box and putting it on my countertop, I wondered if I had made the wrong decision. I have found that it is indeed small but not bad. It cooks whatever I put in there well and takes the same time it did with a bigger unit. Once I figured out that pushing the power button would provide me with options that increased or decreased by five percent, I was glad for this option. I do like the already programmed in controls, and the unusual one for bread which I have not seen on any of the microwaves I have owned in the past. The one aspect of this microwave that the kids like when they are using it is the push button door opener. In previous microwaves they have sometimes struggled with handles and this made it much easier for them and me, too. The clock is bright which I also like. The carousel that came with it moves around very well and is easy to clean, two of the important factors for me in a microwave that gets used many times and by many different people in the house.
