Let me say I have been a sidekick fan since the first one came out. As a tmobile customer there was no other competition for a phone. I love the sidekick three the best because each one they came out with topped the one before in quality. Let me explain, the others often had problems with the wheels breaking/not working any more and buttons stopped worked, and so on. This was not an issue with this at all as you use the ball instead of a wheel to navigate. I love the colors these come in. The cameras are good quality for a camera phone! you can video record on here too. I also love that you can download your music onto this phone, and transfer files to your computer as well. The display is very good, the internet navigates quickly and loads html. Texting was a favorite on this phone, very easy to do quickly!! If I were still with tmobile id def have this phone. I miss it so very much and no other phone compares

Ive owned every single sidekick that has come out, and when I upgraded from the Sidekick LX (2007) to the sidekick 2008 and to say the least I was very disapointed. I like that the 2008 is smaller, its thinner and weights less, but with that also comes a smaller screen and a smaller key board. The camara on the 2008 is a downgrade as it has no flash. The webrowser, IM, email, texting, MP3, calendar. . .and so on are all the same. I do like that the sidekick 2008 you can change the shell, instead of haveing to put a case over the phone as in previous models of the sidekick. I also belive that the ringtone on the sidekick 2008 arent as loud as the previous models, all of us sidekick fans know that the sidekick 2 ringtones were amazingly loud and I really miss that. I also do not care for the fact that the sidekick has the usb charger, because those types of charges go out all the time and it gets really anoying haveing to buy a new one a 3-5 months.    I personally would not buy this model again.

I enjoy the full keyboard that all sidekicks provide. The swivel screen is fun to swivel as well as good for protection of the keyboard. Camera is good and the device memory album can hold about 40 pictures if you have a memory card the device will hold about 1000 pics on top of the 40 on the device memory. Sidekick 2008 is basically like a palm held computer. You have email: An email address provided to you by t-mobile aswell as the option to sign in to other email accounts you may have like Yahoo, Aol, windows live mail, or POP/IMAP. You have Instant messenger access: AIM,Yahoo, and Windows Messenger. You have basic texting and also picture messaging. The full keyboard makes texting very fast and easy...and addicting as well. There is an MP3 program on the phone which can hold about 11 songs. Not a lot but if you purchase a seperate memory card you can place more songs on it, or just change your favorite songs every week or so. There is a jump button on the phone (which I love), you can use this button to jump from any screen you are in to any screen you want to, which makes any mobile phone activity quick and easy.

The Sidekick 2008 is a wonderful phone with many different features. I would buy again if I could. You can go online, send texts, send pictures, work with your email. It's the perfect phone for someone who needs to keep everything together. And a very good phone for your teenager. It's hip and the plans for it aren't too pricy. Even if they do get a little high up there, you're getting what you pay for. I've had this phone for almost a year now and have had little to no problems with it. My only issue is the rule that you have to turn it off and back on once a day. Which isn't too much of a hassle. I just forget to do with from time to time. It comes with three different cases and you can buy others for it. It also has a loop for cell phone charms. Every teenager wants a cell phone charm. Well, the girl's at least. You can change ringtones for every IM, text, call, you can do picture messaging and it can hold up to 2000 contacts if you need it to.

I used to have a sidekick when I was in high school. It was perfect for everything. It really helped me develop better multi-tasking skills, as well as networking. The great thing about sidekicks are that they are so popular and have so much to offer, this cell phone is more than just a smart phone. It comes with a wide screen and a full qwerty keypad, which makes it easy to type, text message, instant message, e-mail messages, and much much more. Also the phone has so many different neat tricks and secrets, such as 'mirror' setting and SnowBored (hidden game). It is possible to learn something new about this phone every day. Sidekicks provide more than way of contacting someone. For example, a sidekick user can either recieve a phone call, voice mail/message, a text message, picture message, electronic mail, and any instant message server they use. The only problem I would think is the battery life is short, and shortens as much as you use it.
