To the Point

Sharp Model SPC300 was the second clock that I bought at Target. The first one that I paid $3.00 for I returned. I upgraded to this one by $2.00. One for $7.00 can be found at amazon.com. There are pros and cons but the cons in my view outweigh the pros.

A Closer View

This is a black plastic clock measuring about 4 inches wide by 3 inches across by 2 inches deep. We redid our bedroom so I didn't want my big clock radio anymore. I just wanted a clock that would wake me up and that I could see.

The Sharp has the following buttons on the top: time set (shown as t-set); alarm set (al-set); on/off/alarm; hour, minute and a snooze light button. It's quite easy to set up.

It takes two AA batteries that might last a long time, I don't know.

It has a two-year limited warranty.

The pro is that if you don't like to wake up in the middle of the night and stare at a clock because you can't fall asleep then you have nothing about which to worry. The other pro is that it is light and small.

The con is if you want to see the time you have to push the snooze/light button. The time can be seen during the day as you can see in the picture but I was very close to it. From afar it isn't even to see. As it happens I don't have a night table. My dresser is not close enough to me to push the light button for me to see the time. Even if I could I wouldn't want to wake up enough to see the time. For me it's awful.

The reason I don't know how long the batteries last is the creative way we tried to solve the problem. My husband put a paperclip in the snooze/light button which pressed it down keeping the time lit. The problem is that it drained the battery in two days. I will probably take it with us in our trailer since I don't have a clock next to me or I'll freecycle it!

Jo's Viewpoint

I don't like it!

That sounds like a guy to put a paper clip in there to keep the light on. Love that. Too bad it did run down the battery. I would not like this clock either.
