We purchased the Sharp- BDHP20U Blu-Ray player about 10 months ago. We use on average of 3 hours a day. It is our second Blu-Ray player and is used mostly by our children. We have had some problems with it. we have noticed that it can have a hard time reading disc., it is very slow and even reading DVD's. It take a a good two minutes to warm up and then tow more minute to load the movie. We have had it the door not want to open or jam on several occasion's. The Blu-ray player has froze and had to be unplugged to get it to unfreeze. The is no ability to start a movie without having the remote with you. The only button on the actual unit is power on/off and disc drawer open/close. The pros of this Blu-ray player is that we use it with a Sharp LCD TV. Which makes it automatically compatible in using one remote for both units. We have another Blu-ray player that we paid half the price of this one. That seems to work equal or even better than this unit.
