No question this a great tv for the money (purchased it on black friday for a very resonable price)My only complaint was the fact that when I took tv out of the box it had already outdated firmware , had to download a newer version firmware first hour i owned it. Now this may be a comon problem with all lcd tvs but now that tvs are really a computer which most people dont know (there use to crts where you plug them in and dont do anything to them)But with our more modern digital tvs aka computers (thus firmware upgrades) people need to keep track of the firmware upgrades and like computers the...

If you are looking for a bargain TV with excellent picture quality this gadget is definitely for you. Its well equipped with connectors to plug in the computer, VCR, DVD, ....Although 46 inches sounds like a big TV, it really isn't, so you will have plenty of room to allocate it. The sound doesn't go really loud, they could have done a better job by placing some high quality speakers. If you don't have have a home theater system and rely on this TV for sound, its a bad idea. Also, it doesn't have picture-in picture capability. Aside from that is a really great TV. Movies look AWESOME in it. The... read full review »

I researched Hi-Def televisions for months before choosing the Sharp LCD.  I decided not to go with Plasma and I'm happy with my choice. The lack of glare is great, especially if your tv is where the sun hits it sometimes. The picture quality is sharper, cleaner and more vivid than other models I looked at. I've been very pleased with this television. I'm just waiting for more hi-def channels to enjoy!

I bought this LCD HDTV in December of 2007 for the sale price of $995.99 plus tax at Sears. It was an after Thanksgiven purchase and sale. This tv has performed flawlessly since I took it out of the carton, and connect it to the power supply, and proceeded to connect all my components, such as Sat. Receiver, and DVR, DVD player, and from that 1st initial setup, I have not had to take the tv remote and adjust this tv in anyway. I use the dish/DVR remote to control the channels and Sat.'s, however as for the clarity, the picture has been one of the best that I personally have had the pleasure of... read full review »

I did tons of research, looking at 40" and 46" LCD 1080p models. Read over a hundred reviews and after seeing all the choices in person came to the conclusion that the Sharp Aquos and the Sony Bravia XBR2/3 were the best of the best. The Samsung was close.

Sony has the better historical rep but I truly believe that Sharp has matched their picture quality, if not bettered it in many aspects. When I assessed the two sets as equals then it was a simple decision to choose the Sharp Aquos 46 instead of the Sony Bravia XBR2 40" for basically the same money.

I am not a pro at assessing tv's but for my money...

Prior to getting this TV, we didn't know what we were missing.  My husband got the urge to actually fulfill his dream of owning a large screen flat panel on Black Friday and before I knew it, we owned one.  Actually, we owned three different ones.  But that was because we bought one, got it home, then found it didn't fit our needs.  The first one was a rear projection TV.  But it was too bulky and we couldn't see very well from angles.  Next, we tried a plasma TV, but, while the picture was good, we have a lot of windows in the room so there was too much glare.  FINALLY, we found the Aquos. ... read full review »

We decided it was time to try HDTV.  We love sharp televisions and really couldn't afford the sony's.  I have only owned sharp televisions so I might be a little bias.  My first television was a sharp and twenty some years later I still have it.  the picture is great. this television is replacing for us a sharp 32 inch tv.   46 sounds huge but I find that it really is a great viewing size.  I expected such an overwhelming picture with that size but it is nice, you feel like you are viewing television like it was meant to be seen and not with the movie theater feel to it.   it fits nice...

Thisis the sharpest tv I ever had. I was skeptical when my husband did not want to own anything else but after we got the HD hook up I was impressed by the picture quality and the sound. i love this TV. We also have a 36" in our bedroom. It has taken some time to get used to the TV mounted on the wall and I worry my 7 month old son will have a permenant nech condition having to look up at the TV. After I got used to it i love it and the fact there is one less piece of furniture in the house to move and clean around is perfect in my book. We ahad a few problems but Sharp sent technician free of...

We got our 46" Sharp Aquos Flatcreen TV this past December and I have been absolutely amazed at the quality of the picture ever since we got the HD hooked up.

This TV totally changes the way you watch movies, the big game and even your favorite shows at home. The picture is so crisp and clear that it really does make staying home to watch the game on TV almost as exciting as going to the games (since you always have a great view and a great seat)!

So far (knock on wood) we've not had any issues with this TV at all. When we got it we really debated on getting the 42" instead, but i'm really...

I am an owner of a Sharp - Aquos LC-46D62U 46" TV.  My whole family now watches TV together because of the clarity of the picture and the size of the screen.  We feel we are at the movie theatre when we play DVD's from Blockbuster.  By having the screen at the height we want it on the wall, we feel we have our own private movie room.  The TV is light enough that my wife and I were able to carry the TV.  Thickness of the Aquos is approximately 3 1/2" to 4".  The Aquos has only one tube and that is preferable to other HD TV's that have three separate tubes needed to diplay the picture.  There... read full review »

There is very little wrong with this TV.  When we were deciding on purchasing a new LCD TV we did lots of research and decided that we would either get the Sony Bravia or the Sharp Aquos.  In the end, price won out and we choose the Sharp Aquos.  The picture quality is amazing, it is very slim and fits nicely into the living room without looking big and bulky.  There are more imputs than we can possibly ever use.  The only issue we have with the TV is the sound.  It seems to be amplifying the problem of "soft TV shows, loud commercials."  I realize this would probably be an issue with any... read full review »

Absolutly wonderful picture clarity! I was a bit hesitant to buy one, but I am glad I did. Hi def is great in sports, but I can't really tell the difference in regular TV programming. It is great in movies, of course. I think the warrenty should be much lengthier for the pricy tag on the Aquos, though. Would make a great wall mount TV, but is expensive to get the emn to hang it on the wall as to not void your original warrenty. Worth the money! I hope it lasts a long, long time!

It took a while for me to convince myself and my wife to spend this kind of money on a television set - especially with four kids in the house.  Although after we got it set up and started watching the HD channels, it was totally worth the price.  We will never go back to regular television.  The kids love playing the video games on it and we love the picture quality we get when watching movies.  A bit pricey, but like I said, totally worth it.

I found this tv after doing extensive research and decided this would be the most econimical for a name brand.  Setting up the tv was simple and the remote is easy to use.  The picture quality is great compared to my old tube tv.  The viewing radius is amazing as well as absolutely NO glare!  There are plenty of inputs along with a PC input which is a great feature.  I would recommend this tv to anyone.
