I read up on LCD and Plasma at PC World when I wanted to go big screen. Whether LCD/Plasma, is your choice, but they said it was the best buy for the quality and low price. I also wanteded over 50 inches and didn't like the burn in of the plasma's. I paid $2,200 for this on-line at Lcdplamadeals.com, the nearest on-line competetor was +$300 at Abe's of Maine. The big box retailer (BBuy) wants $4,000 still! For another $800 I bought a 4 year in home warranty and got the mounting kit and 10 foot HDMI cable free.
I'm very pleased with this TV. The price was fantastic and the...
review »The picture quality was the first thing to catch my eye for this TV. The ease of use was a huge bonus. I was surprised how easy it was to set up and use. I plugged in my cable and it automatically found all of the chanels. It even found all of the local digital chanels that I did not even know were available. The on-screen menus are easy to use and the instruction manual was well written.
I was able to hook up my PC and now have a 52 inch monitor. I love this feature for showing pictures and since my PC is also my PVR ( PC based tivo ). My brother and a co-worker saw the TV and each...
review »I love my sharp Aquos. I waited over a year to buy it. Originally it was selling for near $4,000 and I got it for about $2200. It has great picture quality on hd channels and non-hd channels. I'm not even a huge football fan and yet find myself watching the game so that I can see all those blades of grass! I highly recommend this product.
Not sure how normal this is, but sometimes while I'm watching tv the picture brightness fades a bit.
My first HDTV was this exact 52in sharp aquos television. i was really really impressed with the picture quality on this set. the only downside i came across was the fact that i sat closer than 5 feet to the television due to the size of my room so i could see a lot of grain. If this set was equipped with the 120hz processor that would have gotten rid of that problem. sharp did have a 52in 120hz television but that tv was $3500...way overpriced if u ask me.
We purchased this TV about 1 year ago and have been very happy with it since. Great picture and no problems with motion. Only slight problem is when the picture we are watching goes from a dark to light the picture does take a few seconds to adjust. Also when the program we are watching is dark, the screen is very dark and hard to see. The 1080 is awesome and we are sooo happy with the TV.
