Don't let your lightbulb burn out...

By

from Commerce City, CO

Comments about Sharp 1100 Watt 1.0 Cubic Feet 308NK/ 308NP/ 308NW:

Our lightbulb burned out and we were unable to replace it despite contacting Sharp and all of their contracted electronic distibutors. We were forced to buy a new microwave so we could see our food cooking. Sharpe did not contact us back after we submitted a help request on their website.  We did everything we could.

Excellent landfill functionality

By

from Richmond, CA

Comments about Sharp 1100 Watt 1.0 Cubic Feet 308NK/ 308NP/ 308NW:

The hard exterior casing of this item resists compression and which contributes to landfill stability. It also functions as a microwave oven for the first 8 months after purchase, followed by an optional 3 weeks of inactivity in a factory-authorized repair shop.

This microwave isn't anything spectacular, but serves its purpose

By

from Spring Hill, TN

Comments about Sharp 1100 Watt 1.0 Cubic Feet 308NK/ 308NP/ 308NW:

I purchased this microwave mainly because of the brand name and the quality that Sharp typically represents, but also because it was a good price.  After getting this microwave home, I realized why it cost so much less than the others.  It is just a plain old microwave - nothing spectacular by any means.  It is not very user friendly.  We have sort of figured things out on it on our own.  But the user manual isn't very helpful.  It does not tell us how to set the clock or use the kitchen timer.  It tells more about cooking times for various things than it tells you how to use the actual microwave.  There are still things on it that I'm certain it will do, but we just can't figure out how to do it.  The carousel on it makes it good about cooking things evenly and defrosting things well.  I also like the button that you can push and it automatically adds a minute to the cooking time without having to stop and start the microwave all over again.  All in all, it's a pretty good microwave and is a good value for the money that we paid for it.
