Before this show I was never a fan of James Woods who ususally played a bad guy. He is excellent in this role. Other characters are also strong. It is also refreshing to have a show that doesn't spend as much time in the bed room as the court room. Hope is will remain true now that an ex-wife is on the scene. Woods role as a father is also excellent and a realistic portrayal ofparent-child interactions and issues. Story lines/plots are strong. Glad they changed his boss to his colleague.
This show is for the person who likes drama mixed with adventure, but has a sense of humor and appreciates quick wit.
James Woods has always been a favorite of mine and now I can see him every week.
The writers of this show incorporate the relationship between a divorced father and his wayward teenage daughter into a background of plots that includes news stories of the day such as a sniper on the freeway and the California fires.
All of the characters are very good; each showcases an individual personality that contributes to the whole.
I always tape the show because occasionally I have to rewind...
