i love this, its so nice when you have a quick mess to clean up. so nice for tiles & hard wood floors and better than a broom & dust pan!!

This is a fantastic little cordless vacuum! I keep this charged up so it is ready to go at a moments notice. When my daughter (and her friends) make a mess while eating or cooking of crafting in the kitchen, I can run this over the floors very quickly and pick up the mess on the floor. It takes only a second because there is no cord to contend with, which is why I love this little guy! That being said, you do have to remember to keep it charged up. If I remember correctly, the manufacturer advises that you use it until the battery runs down before recharging. So I font leave it plugged into the charger when finished using it. So, every so often, I will turn it on to use it and it is barely going...no problem, just plug it in and charge it up. It also has a switch (controlled by your foot) which allows you to turn the brushes on and off so you can switch rather quickly from floor type to different floor type. This is quite convenient because I can make a quick pass over all of the floors in my house in just a few minutes. No plugging and unplugging of cords to go into different areas of the house abc just click on the switch with your foot when you change floor types as you are going. Will this take the place of your regular vacuum? Sadly, no. But it is lightweight and does a nice, overall job for quick pick ups.

I have a few Shark products and never had issues with any of them. This however went down hill fast. When it worked it was okay, but the durability just wasn't there. This is more for easy clean ups, if my son spilled some corn flakes on the floor, there was the go to thing to pick it up. Easily picked it up and light enough for my son to use. When really going for a good clean, we went with a bigger vac. The dirt tray was a little small so if you try and do big cleanings with this you find your self emptying it a lot. Also know that the carpet agitator on hard flooring will scatter some of the stuff you are trying to clean up. But for a lightweight vacuum for easy cleaning this thing worked pretty good. But once again, having only had the thing for about 4 months, it broke. No vac should break in that short of a time period. I have had other Shark products for a few years with no issues, but this thing didn't make it far.

The suction of this 2g version of the original does not do it justice at all.The suction of this electronic broon is less,they have taken away the circular brush that was useful in the older model for baseboards.In my opinion this 2g model need to go back to the drawingboard.I should have fixed the old one I had for 6 yrs.

I have to admit - I have only used this vacuum once so far. But I was so impressed with how much better this was than my previous vacuum that I had to write a review now! I found this to be the most affordable stick vacuum at Bed, Bath & Beyond from a reputable brand like Shark. Like most cordless options, you do have to charge this 24 hours before use. I was amazed at the power; it picked up large chunks of fuzz, hair and more with just one try! I have a somewhat large apartment, but I did want a vacuum to tackle the large rugs we have. It did an excellent job, and also picked up tons of hair along the walls. I was also impressed at how easy it was to maneuver underneath the couch and even the coffee table. When you're done, emptying the dirt bin is very easy, too. I would have to say if you have a house, this isn't going to do the job. We had so much hair from the one cleaning that I had to cut it out of the vacuum! Also, I noticed AFTER buying it that you need to replace the battery about once a year. This was a huge surprise to me, and I know a lot of people won't like this. No clue how much the replacements cost or how much a hassle it is to get this from the Shark website. I wasn't looking for something long term, so it isn't such a huge deal for me. I am hoping the cost to keep using this vacuum isn't great. Overall, I thought using (and storing) the Shark VX3 Floor and Carpet Sweeper was super easy. I'd definitely recommend it to other apartment-dwellers from what I've seen so far.

This is one of my all time fave appliances! We used to own an earlier model and replaced it with this one. Now we keep one on each floor of our home. If this were to ever break I would have to replace it within a day - that's how much we rely on this little vacuum! We have three small children (7,5,2) and they make BIG messes at meal times. We also have hardwood floors and need something that will quickly and easily pick up all the food debris. Especially since we have no pets! ;) The handle makes it very easy to maneuver and the load capacity is adequate. It doesn't hold charge as long as I would like, but then we have pretty much worked ours to death! I would highly recommend this shark vacuum to anyone in a similar situation to mine. I'm sure this one will not be the last we own!

Bought the Shark Cordless about two years ago. It's great for a small spill or a not so dirty floor. I love the carpet/ hard surface options and the flexibility, makes getting under the table easier. The plastic cover broke off with normal use, so we had to glue it back on permanently. Needs to be more durable.

I like this very much, good for touch ups and gets into corners easily. The battery life is fairly long before recharging is needed. Does not hold alot of dirt, but is adequate for my needs. Hairs and strings do seem to get tangled around the brushes and needs to be cleaned once a month with tool provided.

I have owned this product for about a year now. I am very happy with it. It does a great job picking up the crumbs and "art" mess that my 3 kids make. It is easy to quickly run it around the kitchen to pick up the dry mess on my tile floors. I also use it on the carpets to quickly clean up my dogs' favorite resting spots. I really appreciate how light weight and loosely-jointed the unit is. I have shoulder injuries that make regular vacuuming a bit of a pain, but I have no problems getting this all over. My kids (age 4, 5 & 7) even love using this to clean and can use it easily. I have not had the problems with battery life that some users have complained about. I have been careful to follow the instructions and charge it for a full 24 hours about once a month (or 21 days with heavy use). It does get a bit anaemic when the battery is running low. But the 24 hour charge gets it back up to full strength. I do not use the collapsable handle feature at all. I just don't have a cabinet that would fit it in the collapsed height. And I find that joint to be a bit difficult to switch. This won't pick up big stuff - anything bigger than a marble - I have some larger sized dog kibble that it has trouble with. But for crumbs, dog hair, sock lint, glitter, etc., this works great.

So my husband purchased me the Shark Vacuum after I had gone thru 5 Swivel Sweepers (which I love if the batteries would stay charged). Anyway, it does an ok job, but just like my previous sweepers, the battery is starting to die, even after being charged 24hrs. Also, I wish the bristles on the bottom extended to the ends of the sweeper because it does not pick up anything against the walls, which means I am constantly bending over to pick up crumbs & dust by hand (I thought this was suppose to prevent that). If you're vacuuming the middle of the room, works fine.
