Shark VX3 Cordless Floor and Carpet Cleaner Vacuum Reviews

I've used this a couple of times when unexpected guests were arriving or children spilled stuff after I just cleaned.  I works pretty well.  However, being a fuzzy house cleaner, I prefer a heavy duty vacuum with good suction power.

 The handle is easy to change positions for forward and back motions, going under furuniture.  It gets pretty flat unlike a traditional vacuum that has its limits as to going into crannies. 

 Another point is that it should be fully charged before you use it or you will not get very far in your cleaning before you have to quit and recharge the vacuum.  However...

The Shark VX3 may look like a star in TV demos, but it's just as often a doo-daddy pain-in-the neck at home.

I bought my VX3 as a replacement for the plain vanilla Shark Sweeper I'd purchased several years back.  Turns out, I'm going to rehab the old one even as I push the newer, heavier, and harder to clean VX3.

Promises, promises.  The VX3 promotes its "no touch dust cup" which, with the handle unit, disengages from the sweeper unit in order to empty its load.  Unfortunately, the unit leaves dust and hair behind in the sweeper portion.  So... I press the foot lever that disengages the dust...

I had a Shark several years ago and was pretty satsified with it.  My daughter just turned 13 and I thought it was time for her to help out with some of the chores around the house. We also just got a puppy.  Our puppy is forever sniffing and eating everything on the floor.  He also sheds.  My daughter complained of sweeping everyday and then lugging the vacuum cleaner out.  We were at Sams one day and she asked if we could purchase the Shark.  I asked her if it would make it easier for her to sweep the floor, I was all for it.  We took it home and she charged it that night.  The next morning,...

great for pick ups.. BUT hinge on handle broke within 7 weeks of purchase.  Contacted Mfg and was told it would cost me 29.99 + S/H for replacement part... only when I strongly expressed my disagreement,  I was told it would be sent at no  cost to me... THEN I waited 2 months for the part... during which time I had to contact the company twice.. So, my advice is to save the extra money and just buy the model without the hinged handle.  as for the vacuum part.... wonderful... as I really was at a loss without it for the 2 months.. and has to use other...
