Super Handheld Steamer by Shark

5

I purchased a "Shark Handheld Super Steamer" with attachments and I couldn't have made a better purchase. The "Shark" steamer heats up quickly, is easy to handle, cord length is ideal for reaching a fairly large area without having to keep changing where you plug it in and the steam is safe to use on just about any surface. Great for sanitizing toys, utensils, around toilet bowls and the list goes on. Greasy vents from stove hoods are a breeze to clean. Rims on a vehicle comes out clean and shiny without using harsh chemicals. I love my "Shark Handheld Super Steamer" and would recommend it to everyone. The uses are endless, the cost is affordable and it's easy to handle, convenient for hard to reach areas and sanitizes without harsh chemicals.

My Best Friend in House Cleaning

5

I love my steam cleaner. It makes it so easy to clean the things that normally I like to avoid, like like the refrigerator or the baseboards. we all feel the house is much cleaner on a very basic level. It makes it so easy to get at hard to clean places. And its great for getting dust and smoke out of the curtains and walls. I am very happy with it.

Versitile & light

I use it to clean showers, steam clothes, steam tile grout, de wrinkle the curtains. Plus when you steam items it kills the dust mites & germs that may have gotten trapped inside the fabrics. It has endless uses. It is very light weight, so it never feels like a hassle to get it out & use it on the "small" things. Sets up in minutes.

Sanitizes with such ease!

Love it! No chemicals, which saves me money! Really gets all my bathroom and kitchen counters clean and sanitized. Get's in around the sink faucets. Great with cleaning my tiles in the tube, granite tile in the kitchen, and my wooden table and chairs. It makes cleaning the refrigerator such a breeze! No complaints here. Does what it says it will do!

Only fun to Watch

I was excited when I received my handheld Shark steamer only to be later disappointed. After filling the unit with water an waiting the recommended amount of time for it to warm up I was ready to clean. I was disappointed to find out that it took a lot of trigger pushes in order to get the steamer to actually emit steam. It would them emit a rush of steam which quickly stopped. No matter how close I held the steamer to the stain/problem area I noted that it did not soften the stain up enough to remove the grime. The only surface that I was impressed to see it work on were all of my glass surfaces. Those it cleaned very well. When the steam DOES emit from the steamer it feels powerful but a lot of the steam emits as water the steamer is spitting up rather than hot steam.

Doesn't clean as well as advertised

I was really hopeful that this product would clean up the really hard stains in my kitchen and bath. On the commercials, the steam just melts the build up and you wipe it away. In reality, you have steam blasting out of it and the stains, just sit there. The mineral deposits in my toilets were not affected by the steam at all. I tried to soften the minerals with vinegar first and I used the detail brush to really tried to pry off the stains, to no avail. I am glad I got such a great deal on this because if I had payed full price I would be very angry.

Clean with the power of Steam!

I bought the **Shark super steamer** because I would sooner clean with out chemicals all the time.  The Shark super steamer really blasts away dirt and grim with just the touch of a button and tons of very hot steam.   I have used this in my bathroom, kitchen, windows, walls, fabric furniture and even the rims of my truck and I not only does it blast away grim, but it disinfects and freshens. Just put measured tap water in to the Shark, plug it in and wait a few minutes for the water to heat up. Very simple, but always remember you will be working with VERY HOT steam and it can burn if you are not watching what you are doing. It's light weight and a super long cord so your not fighting with it. **What comes with this nifty little cleaner**: The shark base with a 15' cord, window squeegee (*I use this with my glass furniture and windows*), angle adapter (*get into those hard to reach areas like behind the toilet*), deluxe hose (*go even further, again for behind and around the toilet, higher items*), garment attachment (*wonderful for freshening up clothes and I use mine on my fabric furniture and nice to get wrinkles out of my frustrated wrinkled sewing projects that I come back to that I mooshed into a ball before when I got mad at it*), detail brush (*haven't found a use for that one yet*), a measuring cup and a funnel to fill easier (*Don't over fill or it will spit hot water, so use the measuring cup!)* **A few things I have found out that I will pass on to you**: - When steaming painted walls don't hold the Shark to close or you will find yourself blasting away dirt and your paint. (I have a few touch ups to do now). - Make sure you are not working around pets or kids because this steam is OMG hot and will burn.  The nozzle does get hot too. - Cleaning around faucets, make sure they are in good condition (no chipping or peeling) or when the steam blasts it, it will chip or peel it more) **Over all: **This is a great light weight machine with helpful attachments and a super long cord.  It's nice to clean without chemicals and uses plain old tap water and the finished out come is clean, no residue, sanitized, disinfected and fresh. This is one product that I will use in my super cleaning in spring and fall.

Great, simple floor cleaner!

4

We recently purchased the Shark steam floor cleaner to clean our tile floors.  It was so easy to fill the tank with the cup included in the box.  You only have to plug in the steam cleaner for 30 seconds before it is ready to steam clean the floors.  The Shark comes with 2 reusable floor pads that quickly attach to the bottom of the steam cleaner.  I love the fact that there are no chemicals to use or cleaning products to buy for the floor--just pure, clean water that disinfects.  The steam dries off the floor very quickly removing the icky residue that was sometimes left on our floors when we used a regular mop and bucket.  Once you clean the floor, you just throw the used pad in the washer and it comes out clean and ready to be used again.  The only complaint I have is that the cord is not as long as I would like.  Other than that, we are truly enjoying this Shark product and love having our floors clean and disinfected.

Shark is better than Swiffer

3

For mothers day this year I asked for the Shark Steam Vac.  I like the swiffer mom, but the price of refills and how many you have to use for just one time is dissappointing.  The first time I used to the Shark I was in love, and although I still like it the love factor has kind of faded.  I feel like the vac part is awesome it has great suction and is safe for your delicate hard floors, but I'm a bit less than satified I guess I was expecting the miracle clean like the commercial (naive maybe).  I agree the clean job it does is better than a mop, but the tough to get dirt does not come up with just the steam mop alone also I'm not sure that it locks the dirt in the pads because I think its a little streaky. It is comforting to use though because the steam kills germs without harsh chemicals which to me is important because I have a toddle and a small dog! Overall I do like the steam vac, but at the same time I might be keeping my eye out for something else.

Shark Vacuum then Steam mop: Great mop, poor vacuum.

4

I was excited to receive my Shark Vacuum then Steam mop for Christmas, I had already owned the steam mop, but thought this would eliminate the need for my Swiffer sweeper. The vacuum is not as great as I had hoped, it does pick up most of the dirt but I feel like my Swiffer definately does a better job. Plus because it is a little bulky it is harder to get in some harder to reach areas. The steamer on the other hand does a wonderful job getting my floors clean and spotless. When you are finished vacuuming you simply flip a switch to turn it off, place the steam head underneath and flip another switch to start the steamer, very simple to use! When you are done there is a canister that easily pops out so you can empty the dirt into the trash. The only concern I have with the steamer is that I have hard water, and even with a water softener my last Shark steam mop became clogged and completely stopped working!
