This vacuum cleaner, the Shark Retractor Bagless Vacuum, will get the job done, but does not hold a lot, so only good for someone who wants to vacuum on a regular basis. EIther that or for someone who does not mind dumping out the container regularly as they clean.

I picked this up about a month ago to deal with living with a few cats (namely 4).  I've always been skeptical about hand vacs since they never seem to have enough suction.  So not the case here.  Very powerful.  Love the fact that it's not the rechargeable type so can travel from room to room to get the job done.  Nice long cord.  My furniture hasn't been this free of cat hair since well...before I had cats.  Absolutely no complaints.  :-)

This little vacuum has a lot of power and is easy to carry from room to room.  I have 3 cats and a dog, so pet hair is something we have a lot of.  The Shark vacuum quickly grabs up hair, dust, and dirt off of my carpet and hardwood floors.  The bagless canister is very easy to remove and clean, and as a busy mom time is important!  I recommend this vacuum to everyone I know!

I purchased the Shark vacuum to pick up after my 2 cats and clean my furniture.  I was skeptical until the 1st use.  Wow did it work great, I was amazed how much hair this vacuum cleaned up,  I am looking to purchase a Shark upright.
