This hand held vacuum has made it through quite a bit and is still hanging strong.  I have had this for over six years and it still works like a charm.  It is great to suck up dust and dirt on stairs, on furniture, and to clean up small messes.  It comes with a variety of attachments so no matter what the mess, there is some attachment that helps to clean up.  It sucks up quite a bit before you even have to dump out the dirt.  There are no bags to clean out.  There is a filter that is easy to clean.  Just push the button and the top comes off.  I usually just tap the filter against something outside to get any other excess dirt off.  The suction power is also great.  There hasn't been much that this little vacuum cannot pick up.  It is definitely one of the better hand held vaccuums out there.  The cord stretches farily far as well.  Depending on outlet location, it is possible to run it up an entire flight of stairs.
