I started investing with Sharebuilder in 2003 for myself, my wife and my children. We don't throw away good stuff when we are done with it. My wife sells it and I take the proceeds and divide them up for the kids. Once they have a little egg, we throw the money into Sharebuilder and I look for good quality long term investment stocks for their future. Once they are old enough, I have them do the work on the account and they get to learn about finance from their childhood, making them money conscious consumers of the future.
