What a wonderful place to stay! This was recommended to me by a friend. I took my mother there to visit WDW for a week during our spring breaks. We woke up in the morning to singing birds and quacking ducks. The view was beautiful as Shades of Green is located in between two golf courses. Transportation to the TTC was by shuttle bus that ran on a timely manner. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was cold outside, but I still took a wee dip in the heated swimming pool in the shape of Mickey's head. The bar and grill has great food...
review »Shades of Green is a resort hotel in Orlando, Florida owned by the military. As such, you must be active duty military, retired from the service with certain caveats, and some DoD personnel are allowed there. The rates are great because they are based on pay grade and you are allowed to get rooms for immediate family, too. The greatest part are the shuttles to Main Disneyworld, Hollywood Studios, the Disney water park. They also arrange transporation to other attractions. We went to Universal Studios. They've got a pool, a kiddie pool, and a big hot tub. They have a buffet restaurant on the bottom floor. It's...
review »OVERALL EXCELLENT. BREAKFAST AND DINNER AT THE GALLERY WAS EXCELLENT. DINNER AND SERVICE AT MANGINOS WAS BAD. WAITRESS(blonde) NEEDS A LITTLE MORE TRAINING ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. FOOD WAS BAD. MY WIFE ORDERED A GLASS OF SANGRIA, SHE BROUGHT SOMETHING MIXED UP BY THE BARTENDER, NOT SANGRIA.
POOL AND HEATED POOL WAS NICE, EXCEPT FOR A LOT OF KIDS IN WHAT WE WERE TOLD WAS THE ADULT POOL. ALSO KIDS IN THE HEATED POOL.
OUR ROOM WAS EXCELLENT. WE WILL BE BACK. OH YES, I ESPECIALLY LIKED THE LOCATION OF THE PARKING GARAGE.
