Most HelpfulAfter about 4 years after the television show ended, Sex and The City is back in the form of a theatrical release. Picking up right where the show left off, the movie goes back in to the stories of the four New York City girls, and gives fans new in-sight as to where each of them were heading with...

Most HelpfulOkay, so I like the show Sex and the City (although I wasn't gaga over it!)... but the Sex and the City movie was just alright for me.
Yes, I did the girl thing of going with a bunch of friends, having cosmos afterward, and I even busted out my heels. (this is a rare day!) Now, that was fun. And, yes,...
review »Oh Carrie, I've missed you and your friends!
Last night I got together my own little group of four to go see the girls. We got dressed up, met for cocktails and appetizers and got a little giggly with anticipation of a reunion. After all, it's been some time since we got to hang with Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte. My friend Joyce said she was almost dreading the film, knowing that it would make her long for the show all over again. I was just hopeful the writing would be good.
The fashion! The drama! The romance!
Joyce was right. The minute the movie started, it was just...
Good Points
What I appreciated most about Sex and The City was the relationships between the four main characters: Carrie, Amanda, Samantha, and Charlotte. This movie displays female bonding...
review »Bottom-Line: In the final analysis, I thoroughly enjoyed the 145 minute long Sex and the City the movie and hope they make another, perhaps ten years in the future this time.
First an admission: I used to watch Sex and the City on HBO religiously together with my wife. There I said it. I enjoyed the show and I was displeased when it went off the air. My favorite character was not Carrie, but Charlotte; I just adore Khristin Davis, her nose and the way she portrayed Charlotte with such sweet innocence. So though my wife thought I would not want to go see Sex and the City, the movie with...
review »Until I saw this movie I haven't realized how much I actually miss Sex in the City. The movie seems to put you right back into the girl's lives where they left off a few years ago.
When the series ended it left me asking what happened with Carrie and Big? Would Amanda really stay married to Steve? What about Charlotte and Samantha? I needed more.
The movie is great! I can't go into it in case you haven't had the chance to see it yet, but if you were a fan of the series, it is well worth seeing.
It left me missing them even more!
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthis Nixon and Chris Noth all play in the continuation film of the TV series Sex and the City.
Plot: I don't want to ruin too much of it. It's basically just a wind up of the tv show and bringing everything to a close. After 10 years of dating, Carrie and her hunky boyfriend, John, decide to get married.
What I thought: The opening choreography along with the funky upbeat music is an attention grabber and sucks the viewer in. The wedding planner is hilarious. The wedding dress photo shoot is really fun. There's a great scene that...
review »I spent my thirties living in NYC. It was a great time to be young(ish) single, well paid and living in New York City. I used to totally relate to the Sex In the City Girls ("the girls"). I am an attorney, though not like miranda, I love fashion, though I dress more reasonably than Carrie, I love dogs, though I resist dressing mine unlike Charlotte, and Samantha and I well.... lets just move on.
I thought the ending of the series was great, Carrie got Big and everyone was well situated.
I almost did not want to go to the movie because, as far as I was concerned, all they could do was ruin a good...
review »This movie is everything that was terrific about the series. I was a faithful watcher of Sex & The City when it was on HBO. It was always so fun getting lost in the glamour, style, romance, and most of all, the friendships for an hour each week. I was very sad when it was all over.
You can imagine how thrilled I was to hear the movie was coming out! However, I became discouraged after reading some of the not so great reviews. Now, after seeing the movie myself, I don't know what the negativity was all about! I LOVED THIS MOVIE! I thought they did an excellent job catching...
review »I never really got into Sex and the City until after the series had ended. The few episodes that I caught on the WB network caught my attention and from there I rented whole seasons from Netflix so I could see all of the SATC goodness. I did really like the show, so when I saw that there was a movie coming out, I added it to my Netflix list. (I don't go to movie theaters.) I watched Sex and the City: The Movie right after it was released on DVD and again last night. I wasn't impressed back then and I'm not impressed today.
The Sex and the City movie picks up shortly after the series ended. ...
