Brother Sewing Machine - SE-350
This machine is very easy to use right out of the box. It's built in embroidery is very nice and it's easy to use additional designs once you purchase the card kit. I love the 3 speed settings too!
This replaced a machine that I used for about 18 years and loved. I am now looking at Brother Sergers because I love this machine so much!!
Brother ls-1520
The Borther LS-1520 is a reliable, inexpensive, portable sewing machine for everyday sewing needs. It is simple to set up and use, so a beginner can easily run it. It has a variety of straight and zig-zag stitches and a button hole option that are displayed on the front of the machine and are chosen by a simple turn of a dial. The machine has a removeable section for easy access to the bobbin as well as to allow the seamstress the possibility to in sew small, tight areas of a garment. Re-winding the bobbin is uncomplicated and takes seconds. The reverse lever is large and placed in a convienient...
review »Janome 3128
I bought the Janome 3128 more on less on a rushed impulse--I needed to sew up a garment and needed a machine to do so--I knew my first choice had to be a Singer, but found out that a good Singer would cost me significantly more, or was unavailable. My next choice was the Brother, but again, the ones in my price range seemed to only do "miniature" tasks. I thus grabbed the Janome, on sale for $99.99 and made a break for it. For one, I think the machine is so likeable. It's only 11 lbs. in weight, with a secure handle to carry it from place to place. It also comes with a protective bag, three bobbin...
review »Elna Elna Electronic 3005
I bought the Elna machine over 10 years ago when it was state-of-the-art. I have used it to sew the most lightweight fabric as well as heavy denim and leather. I think it was designed for quilters but I do clothing alterations and use it for an all around machine. I am replacing my serger of about the same age because there have been so many improvements to sergers, but this machine is still current as far as the stitches available and its abilities. It still runs as good as the day I purchased it with minimum maintenance. If I were to buy a new straight-stitch machine today Elna is the...
review »Simplicity American Quilter
I purchased the Simplicity Americana Series - American Quilter Sewing Machine as my first sewing machine. I had not done much sewing before and wanted to a reasonably priced, good quality, yet simple machine to use. It has been about five years now and it is still standing up to my constant sewing without having yet been professionally maintenanced.
This machine has been easy to use and has 24 different stitch types including the button hole stitch. It comes with several different presser feet including a walking foot. A larger table is included to attache to the machine for larger projects. ...
review »Husqvarna Viking Designer DIamond
The Husqvarna Viking Designer DImaond does it all, and then some! From basic sewing assistance with the on board sewing advisor to the amazing interactive screen to program my embroideries... there's NOTHING I cannot do with this machine!
I love the fact that my machine comes with owner's classes with the retailer i bought it from, am incredibly imporessed with the over 18 hours of instruction included with my Designer DImaond and knowign I can retake my classes as many time as I need to in order to "get it right" without having to pay again, makes what some might see as a not so frugal purchase...
review »Singer project runway singer sewing machine
I have many sewing machines from Viking to Bernina to Brother embroidery. But I came across this project runway Sewing machine quite by accident. I had taken my Viking in for repair and needed a inexpensive machine to get me by as I do custom childrens clothing and couldn't be without another machine for 2 weeks.
As a very experienced sewer this machine is a great running machine and easy to use and would work for the experienced as well as the new seamstress. My intentions were to return it when my viking was fixed but after using this machine for 2 solid weeks I learned the great features...
review »Euro-Pro Stitch Art
THE CRAFTEST PERSON IN MY FAMILY
I am a self-taught sewer since I was 10 years old. It all began when my mother decided to make my sister a dress. The only problem she lost interest in the project and I ended up finishing it just in time for summer. My first sewing machine was a portable singer, great for the basics. I traded it for a white with more sewing features, but not as durable as the Euro-Pro that I have now. It is a great machine with maintenance-free working parts. I have sewed all types of fabric on this machine from nylon to demin. The best feature of this...
review »Husqvarna Viking Romeo
This machine is one of vikings basic models. However it is very versatile. I use this for sewing and quilting and it has been wonderful to work with. It is easy to use. It is very reliable and does not require a lot of upkeep. The price was a nice feature as well. There are many attachments that can be purchased for different types of sewing. I have had this for about ten years now and have had no complaints. It still works as if it were brand new. I would reccomend this model not only to beginner sewers but all skill levels. It does not have a lot of bells and whistles but it is still a wonderful...
review »Singer e99670
Having the Singer E99670 brand of sewing machine saves a lot of time and money. Why pay some some one to darn a sock, fix them hem on your skirt or pants when you can do it yourself with this sewing machine. No more trips to the Tailor or a Seamstress, with this handy machine you can do it yourself and save lots money.
I use my machine for just about everything that needs sewing. I make my own draperies, cushion coverings, clothes which is really very exciting. Can you imagine making an outfit that is sold in Stores for a fraction of the cost?
Think about Halloween costumes, why buy when you...
review »Brother Sewing Machine - SE-350
This is a wonderful machine for sewing and embroidery. Very light weight and very easy to use. A great value!
Kenmore 22 stitches
I sew on this machine at least 5 days a week. It is 20 years old and has only been to a repair shop for cleanings. I rely on it to supplement my SS and have been pleased with it's performance.
Husqvarna Viking Lisa
I upgraded to this machine after I realized that the first machine I bought wasn't doing the job. The Lisa has been a favorite of the two machines I own. When using the walking foot I get excellent quilt results, and the easy to use bobbin threader makes this a great sewing machine.
none SINGER
I save up the money I saved from coupons to buy my portable Singer sewing. It has been a friend to me for a very long time.
