I have used Seventh Generation baby wipes for all sorts of things, not just wiping babies :) I like to keep them on hand in the car for quick clean ups/freshening up hands or face and sanitizing grocery baskets or cart handles.
I think that we shouldn't use strange chemicals on our skin, let alone on a newborn baby's skin. I have done a lot of diaper changing in my life and I've never had any issues with teh wipes irritating any baby's skin. I often prefer to make my own wipes with organic/hypoallergenic baby soap and water, but the Seventh Generation wipes are really handy if I haven't had a chance to make my own wipes and they come in convenient carrying pouches. I am slightly confused by the fact that the same amount of wipes in a hard case are exactly the same price as those in a soft case, you would think that the hard case would be more expensive to produce and less environmentally friendly, so you would pay less to buy the soft case wipes. Who knows what goes through the minds of the manufacturers!
