I have been called a treehugger. I am not sure why I even bought Seventh Generation Recycled Paper Towels when I usually just use washable cloths. Seventh Generation Recycled Paper Towels are at least better than regualr paper towels in that it is recycled paper but as much stuff is made without recycled paper it almost seems like what's the point of using the recycled paper. I say they are too expensive for recycled junk that you are going to just throw away and it won't be recycled again since it has too be plain paper to be recycled if you used to clean anything it ain't going to be recycled. Works OK but not as good as using a cloth and no where near as eco freindly as it like to think it is besides I am sure the plastic the towels is packaged in ain't recycled & wont get recycled. Eco friendly is just an excuse to charge you more. If you truly want to be eco friendly you would not use paper towels at all. Which I plan on doing since these are now long gone from my house.

Okay, so before we had kids we never used paper towels. After a few messes, we dediced paper towels were a must have. We wanted something eco-friendly but were cautious that we would likely be buying a product of lesser quality. Luckily, we found Seventh Generation paper towels. We have been loyal buyers ever since. They absorb equally as well as other name brand non-eco friendly products, have more paper towels per roll, and do a suberb job. We highly recommend these to anyone who needs a product like this but is also conscious of the environment. Save your time trying other eco-friendly brands and head straight for seventh generation, you won't be disappointed. I only wish they made them in select-a-size.

I reviewed the Seventh Generation Surface and Glass Cleaner and reported that I have also used several of their other household items, including laundry detergent and disinfecting wipes. Well, this is another of Seventh Generation's wonderful products and probably one of my most favorite! Our household goes through countless rolls of paper towels, so I was excited to see that I could be using a 100% recycled product! They are eco-friendly, have no dyes or chemicals and are relatively inexpensive. They are a bit on the thin side though and may require an additional paper towel or two to clean up the usual mess. I am very happy to see they keep adding to their product line as well, finding these products more readily available in my local stores!

While I wouldn't pay a premium price for Seventh Generation Recycled Paper Towels, having bought them at on sale, I don't regret my purchase. The towels are definitely stiffer or rougher than brand-name towels, but probably better quality than the typical generic brand. But it's not like you are applying them to your skin, and their strength and absorbency are about average, though "average" usually leaves a lot to be desired. I do find that these sometimes don't want to tear easily at the perforation and some rolls can be difficult to start, but always getting a giant full sheet can have its disadvantages too. I don't know if using recycled paper actually comes out to be better for the environment or whether the increased processing uses more resources, but one feature that I do like is that these paper towels forsake the typically annoying designs one normally sees. That is one needless feature that neither I nor the environment should pay for.

Until I encountered the Seventh Generation Recycled Paper Towels, I never gave my paper towels much though.  Then it dawned on me that the paper that goes into most paper towels goes through an intense chemical bleaching process to provide a white towel, then dyes are added to make them "pretty".  I'm a no-frills home maker and I'd rather have the pure and natural product over the chemically treated, any day.   The Seventh Generation Recycled Paper Towels are competitively priced and do a great job.  Mine are often used to clean soot off the glass in our pellet stove.  One towel and some glass cleaner can tackle the job just fine.  For quick mess clean up or big spills, the Seventh Generation towels have the absorbency and the durability to handle it!  They are also great for draining fatty foods like bacon, as they do not have surface that sheds lint.  They are not the softest paper towel on the market, but if you're not using them on little faces - they're just as good as any other towel out there.

My In-Laws must think I'm crazy when they search high and low for paper towels in our house. We simply have cut back on paper products, something that my parents and my husbands parents had come to know as "staples" for their homes. I don't like to spend the money on paper towels when I can just wash and rewash towels, and cloth napkins. However, I understand that guests appreciate paper towels and the security that comes with them, so when absolutely necessary, I buy Seventh Generation Recycled paper towels. Honestly, I still don't feel great about having them, but they do the job and are made of recycled materials. I wish they were compostable- that would make me feel much better. They are thinner than other brands, but really do the job. I also like to use them when I need to clean our mirrors since cloth leaves a little residue on the mirrors. Seventh Generation paper towels certainly are not as fluffy as other brands, but who needs fluff???

Seventh Generation Recycled Paper Towels are certainly eco-friendly and a more "green" way to go.  They are not too expensive (especially as more and more stores are carrying Seventh Generation products) and they do a good job of absorbing liquid.  I have to say I wished they did a better job of gripping/picking up crumbs or other types of dirt on the surface (especially hair).  I used them to clean my bathroom and noticed they weren't picking up everything, which kind of made me feel like I wasn't really getting my bathroom all the way clean and then I had to use more paper towels to make sure I got everything off the surface.  But, I felt good and healthier while cleaning with these paper towels.  I also felt like I wasn't being as wasteful using them since they are recycled.  I just think they need more of a rougher surface or more-textured surface so they can pick up stuff better when cleaning.

A number of years ago, I switched to Seventh Generation in an effort to be more earth-friendly by using a recycled, chlorine-free paper product (which I think is pretty important for something meant to be purely disposable). I was a little concerned that I might be sacrificing function (like absorbency or durability) in exchange for getting a recycled product. It turns out that my fears were groundless. These paper towels work just as well as any of the major brands I used to pick up in the supermarket. They absorb liquid and wipe up spills just fine, and they were even less prone to falling apart than most other brands I've used in the past. No, they aren't pretty and white, nor are they soft and cushiony, but why does that matter when you're just cleaning up a spill or wiping down a counter or doing other household cleaning?  Since I started using Seventh Generation, I've been buying in bulk by catalog direct from the company, which saves me a lot of money over the long haul. And as I mentioned, I can't complain about the quality.
