my wife and i registered for some seventh generation diapers, and some friends actually bought us some for our baby shower. well... they are supposedly more environmetally friendly than pampers or huggies; but.... whoa, they leak like a sieve! you wouldn't believe how many nights i would wake up to my son crying about sleeping in a soaked bed in soaked pajamas because of these diapers. then, i would need to change his diaper, change his pajamas, and changes his sheets. my son has always been a good sleeper, but he doesn't enjoy sleeping in pee. eventually, we learned not to use these at night but only during the day. i hate to make the world a worse place for everyone else, but i guess we'll stick to pampers for now.

I love seventh generation diapers but I found that the newborn size need quite a bit of improvement. We've used these diapers on my son since the day he was born and have tried the newborn, size 1, and 2 diapers. The newborn size perform far worse than the other sizes. My son was born 6 lbs, 11 oz so he's a little pipsqueak.  If you've had children before, you know that newborn poop is not fun! For the first few weeks these diapers were awesome! No leaks and they were much better than the pampers we used in the hospital. After my son was a few weeks old and barely over 7 lbs, he was constantly having blow-outs in these diapers. If he wasn't having a blow out, these diapers would leak and we'd have to change his clothes about 3 times a day. Babies are peeing and pooping several times a day at this point in their lives and the last thing you want to deal with. After we had our 2nd blow out and countless wet diaper leaks, I did a little research on the newborn size and found that I was not alone. This size seems to be an underachiever for a lot of people.

I got these for my newborn because I wanted something that I knew would be gentle on his sensitive bottom! These are now the only brand we will use! He has never gotten a diaper rash with these, but the first time I tried another, "not so sensitive" brand, he did. So if you're little one has a sensitive bottom I highly recommend these. We have had some "blow-outs" with these, but I have yet to find a disposable diaper that will hold runny breastfed poo in 100% of the time. They are a little pricier than others, but I feel that it is worth it to know that I am not putting any nasty chemicals on my baby and that they are also more environmentally friendly since trhey are chlorine free (which means no nasty dioxins released into the atmosphere.) They disclose all ingredients that are in the diapers, so you can look everything up and know exactly what's going on  your babies bottom! Overall, I would recommend these!

I got 2 packs of these as baby shower gifts.  They were the most uncomfortable feeling diapers I've ever seen.  My poor newborn baby felt like he was wearing those cheap paper towels you find in elementary schools.  I didn't even feel right about giving them away to a shelter b/c they were so terrible.  They didn't even go up his back enough either (could practically see his little butt crack).  I gave the unused pack to a friend who has a little girl and uses them on her dolls..........that about as much as they are worth to me!  If you are worried about chlorine, dyes or other chemicals, then I would recommend just using cloth diapers.  You will save money that way.

I purchased some of these knowing my first child was pron to sensitive skin so we were looking for a "natural" alternative in a disposable diaper. These are nothing fancy with their khaki coloring and lack of bright fun designs but it didn't bother us, a diaper is just being thrown away and covered up anyways. These diapers have an amazing contoured fit and are stretchy to the baby's body. They are also much softer than I expected.  A down fall is after 5 diapers my newborn developed a terrible red rash (like with most diapers but 1 brand) and it was hurting him, he would cry and cry when he was being wiped even with cream put on him. I was disappointed because I thought the fragrance and chlorine free diapers would have kept him from breaking out. Sure enough we put his other brand on and within 3 changes the redness was reduced significantly.  I was really hoping to be able to use these diapers as they are very nice but alas it was back to the brand we know and trust.

**Seventh Generation Newborn Diapers are more expensive than other brands but worth it. I used seventh generation exclusively when my son was zero to four months. We didn't have a ton of disposable income at the time but I felt chlorine free natural diapers were the best for my babies tender bottom. He never had diaper rash so I felt that they kept him dry and were changed him quite often. Looking back I think moving him to overnight diapers might have helped him sleep longer so I think next baby we will use these during the day and another type at night. I really like that these looked natural and cute and did not have mickey and minnie plastered all over them like his current diapers due. These are really the best deal if you order them online and they are occasionally hard to buy in the area we live, sometimes we had to make a special trip to the toys r us 40 minutes away to pick them up. That is the main reason we switched to huggies when he got a little older. We are going to go back to the seventh generation brand right before potty training so our son can feel when he is wet. **

Before our baby girl (now three months) fit into the cloth diapers we now use, we tried a couple of different types of natural diapers.  Seventh Generation diapers were our least favorite.  (We ended up using Huggies Pure and Natural diapers instead.)  While I love that these diapers are chlorine-free, dye free, and free of harmful chemicals, I did not like how they felt.  They were rough and very scratchy.  They actually even rubbed our baby's skin until it was red!  Diapers should not feel like paper bags.  I appreciate all that Seventh Generation is doing as a company to be more eco-conscious, and I appreciated that my baby's bottom was protected from harmful and unneccessary additives, but I also care about her comfort, and I just did not like using these because of how rough they were.  They are also quite expensive and I had a hard time finding any coupons for them.  I probably would not recommend these to a friend.

Last summer when I had my first child, I was committed to using as natural of products as possible.  However, I was not ready to dive head first into cloth diapers.  When I came across the Seventh Generation Diapers, I was so excited!  There were chlorine free, so they were better for my little one's bottom and better for the environment, too! They seemed like such a good alternative for traditional disposables and a good first step before going to cloth.  However, once I put them on my little one, they were a nightmare from the start!  They did not fit her at all, therefore leading to leaks all over the place!  The fit seems to be made for a child shaped like a brick- very square and inflexible.  They didn't "bend" to accommodate her rear end, so it was an leaky situation nearly every time.  I had been so excited about the product, but in practice, they were very frustrating.  If Seventh Generation worked on the fit and contour of the diapers, I would happily try them again.

As a first time mom, I wasn't sure what brand of diapers I wanted to use.  Eventually, when my little guy is big enough, I will use cloth diapers. In the meantime, I wanted diapers that are environmentally-friendly and won't hurt my baby's bottom.  I wanted to try chlorine-free diapers, but I wasn't sure how they would work.  We tried some of the bigger, commercial brands at first because they were given to us as gifts and they did not work at all.  Finally, I decided to take the plunge and purchase the Seventh Generation Newborn diapers.  These diapers were a godsend to us! My little guy no longer has leaky diapers and none of that diaper residue all over his bottom. He even had a touch of diaper rash with the other diapers, but not with the Seventh Generation diapers! These diapers keep his bottom dry and fit him perfectly. He won't fit into his cloth diapers for a while, and I fully intend to continue using these diapers until that time.  I also plan on using these diapers when cloth are not convenient, such as long car trips or extended trips away from home where washing cloth diapers is not possible.

I am a cloth diaper mom by preference.  However, when the baby is first born and they have those nasty meconium diapers, you don't want to be staining your beautiful, fresh cloth diapers.  We did not want to use any chemicals on little baby's sensitive bottom, though.  So we shopped around and got these 7th generation diapers for a steal on Amazon.  I was totally not disappointed.  They were a good value for the case that we got, so I was happy with that. Most of all, I was happy knowing that my baby was not going to have nasty chemicals rubbing against them all day long.  Plus, these are a little better for the environment, I think.  If you have to use a disposable for whatever reason, I would definitely recommend these.  They are so tiny and small.  It is amazing that baby's are that little!  The only thing that was a little weird was the brown color. My husband was confused at first.  But that way you KNOW that they don't have any yucky bleach in them.  And who really cares what they look like considering what they are holding, right?!
