This product has maintained its comfort and shape over the period of time we have been using it. The cooling gel adds such a great layer of comfort that puts me right to sleep every night. Be sure to buy a mattress protector to keep the mattress fresh and in its original shape. Because the mattress has so many layers, it is difficult to find fitted sheets to fit it, but I've found that the fitted sheets which come with a bed set fit best when they are first washed. After they stretch out a bit, it is difficult to get them to stay put. Having slept on cheap, thin, hard mattresses all my life, I had no idea what I was missing. As soon as I laid down on the sample bed in the store, I knew it was worth the extra money. I also have a compressed disc in my back, so getting the right support for my back is essential to decreasing the pain. This mattress definitely does the trick. Two thumbs way way up!
