I suffer with bad back problems. Ever since I got the serta devon firm pillowtop my back pain has decreased significantly. It gives the back enough support to avoid back pain, but it is still soft enough (because of the pillowtop) so that you don't feel like you might as well be sleeping on the floor. I would definitely recommend this mattress.
