Serious Skin Care First Pressed Olive Oil Hydra-Gloss Shampoo Review

Quick View: I use olive oil products from The Body Shop, Wei East, and Serious Skin Care. I actually stumbled across a bottle of Serious Skin Care First Pressed Olive Oil Hydra-Gloss Shampoo in my big bin of shampoos and conditioners last week and started using it again. It is a good shampoo that makes my somewhat dry hair silky, soft, and shiny.

My Take on Serious Skin Care First Pressed Olive Oil Hydra-Gloss Shampoo

I found a bottle of this shampoo and conditioner and it looked like I had only used it a few times. I like The Body Shop Olive Glossing Shampoo so I decided to give the shampoo another try. I had no idea if I liked it before or not but I have so many different hair care products that they get rotated often and sometimes even forgotten about.

The shampoo comes in an 8 ounce plastic bottle with a flip open lid. It's green and lathers richly. The scent is like olive oil. It's rich, bold, and unisex. I really love the scent. It's a nice change from the frilly floral shampoos I often use.

Made for dry or stressed hair, I thought the shampoo may weight my hair down since it is very long and fine. I have to be careful to use products that allow my hair to bounce and leave what little body it has intact.

I washed my hair with Serious Skin Care First Pressed Olive Oil Hydra-Gloss Shampoo then used the conditioner of the same name. My hair felt clean and smelled great. After bow drying, I was pleased to see that it was shiny, sleek, soft and still had the body I needed. This shampoo didn't weight my hair down even though it contains real olive oil.

My stressed, dry ends looked better and my whole head of hair was bouncy and super clean. I am pleased with this shampoo. I'm a little less so with the conditioner because it is fairly runny but it doesn't weigh my hair down so that's a plus. The shampoo is a bit pricey at $14.50 for an 8 ounce bottle but it is cheaper when bought in a kit of products from HSN which is how I am sure I got it.

Serious Skin Care First Pressed Olive Oil Hydra-Gloss Shampoo is great for women and men because it has a warm, unisex scent. It lathers richly and is concentrated. It adds shine and softness to dry or damaged hair yet doesn't weigh it down or make hair look greasy. I like it! I suggest that you buy a kit of products on HSN rather than buy the shampoo alone for better savings. 4 stars.
