Definitely the worst flea treatment out there!

2

The kitten I bought for my daughter for Christmas ended up with fleas and I bought this at the store to try and fix the problem. It was cheap and the flea problem was not that bad, so I thought this would work. I did not want to use the Frontline I use for my other cat on a kitten. This flea treatment is the most horrible treatment on the market right now. It definitely is the definition of cheap. This treatment did not help my kitten get rid of his fleas at all. In fact, they got worse and my other cat got them. I was so angry. Also, he got a little rash where I squeezed this product on his neck. I wished I could have returned it, but that was not even worth the money I paid. I ended up calling the vet and she told me I could give him the Frontline. This is definitely a lesson learned. Do NOT give your cat or kitten Sergeant's Gold Squeeze-On for Cats and Kittens. I regretted the decision and so will you.

This stuff is horrible.  I bought it because it was cheaper than the other products and now I totally regret this.  I should have known that cheaper is NOT the main idea when making a decision that affects my beloved pet.  After I used it on my 5 year old cat, she became listless, vomited, and felt like she was running an elevated temperature.  The Gold did not kill any fleas.  I think they became more active and she was miserable.  It took three days before she was anywhere close to normal.  I should have read reviews before using it but I waited until after the side effects were apparent.  I haven't found a single positive review on ***any*** website about this horrible product.  It should be pulled from all store shelves.  If I can post this review with no stars, I'll do so.  But if I have to assign a star it will only be in order to post the review.  Terrible, terrible product.

Would you buy your child an inferior product for treatment?

After moving into a new home with our three cats, my family discovered the previous tenants did not treat their pets or their home for fleas. Within three days of our move in, I started finding fleas on my white cat. The more we moved around things in the house, the more fleas I saw on him. Not having a lot of money after moving, and not having had flea problems before with our pets, I went to the store and purchased Sergeants Gold Squeeze on for Cats and Kittens to treat them for the fleas. The application of the product was as easy as the instructions said, just snap the cap and apply the treatment to the shoulder area on the cat. But the application instructions were about the only thing right about this product. It did not kill the fleas on my cats. All the fleas did was move to my cats stomachs. We waited a few days and did not see any change in the amount of fleas on the cats. And Yoda, my little white kitty began to get scabs on his back due to an allergic reaction to the flea saliva in the bites. I regret the purchase Sergeants Gold Squeeze on flea treatment. My cats did not get relief from the fleas and the bites. I would not want my child to suffer needlessly because I purchased an inferior product to treat a condition she had. So why should my cats, who also depend on me to keep them healthy have to suffer?  I consulted a vet and they recommended Frontline Flea treatment for cats and advised me on how to treat the house to get rid of the fleas. While the Frontline was a little expensive, I would rather pay for something that begins to solve the problem within 24 hours, then buy a product that does nothing at all to help.****

To use this product on your pet should be illegal.

This product should not be allowed on the shelves in our stores.  The price is cheap and the quality is even cheaper.  This product is not safe, and can seriously injure or even kill your cats.  I used this product on my cat only one time and an hour after use she began seizing and twitching.  She could not walk and she was quickly getting worse.  When i took her to the vet it was an EXTREMELY expensive bill for them to treat her.  The vet told me to never buy this brand or brands like it again.  She told me that it is known to hurt and kill cats.  This is toxic to your pets body.  Once in is in their blood stream, shampoo will not remove it.  After my bad experience, i emailed the company and told them what had happened.  They would not even refund me for the product.  They did however send a "Get well soon" card.  The fact that they have these cards ready to be mailed, tells me that this is a common occurance.  Do not buy this product or any products like it.  When it comes to the pets that you love, you need to be willing to spend a little bit more money to ensure that they will not be harmed by the products you treat them with.

I too was the fool who decicded to save money by getting the "over-the-counter" squeeze on flea medication for my cat...and, big surprise, it didnt work at all. The Sergeants company that makes this fine (sarcastic) product should be ashamed. Dont waste any money on this....use advantage from the vet, its a product that REALLY works...it doesnt just have a pretty box with false promises on it.
