Sephora Flashy Liners in Flashy Pink —

One of the things that is most frustrating about makeup is trying to find something that will help quickly to look more awake and bright eyed when you have not had a good night's rest.

Another thing that is difficult for me is trying to find eyeliners that will stay on my waterline or around my eye without causing ANY eye irritation or watering at all.  I just about gave up trying to find anything that would fill that need.

However, in recent months, I have come upon a VERY reasonable high quality eyeliner product that I have been raving about for some time now.  It is SEPHORA FLASHY LINER PENCIL IN FLASHY PINK.

It is very hard to find a liner to put on the waterline that will make eyes look bright and awake, without making them look weird or overdone.  White is too stark, and many other colors look odd on most women- especially if they are not interested in wearing much makeup.

I was very excited when I discovered this new pencil, as it fits very well into my needs, and it might fit into yours too!

WHAT IS FLASHY PINK LINER LIKE?

SEPHORA FLASHY PINK (09)  liner is a lovely grayed baby pink color.  The texture is like butter- very soft- and the finish is a lovely shimmery metallic finish.  I have never used a liner like this, and I have used liners from almost every makeup line I have access to.

The pencil is black -not wooden- but easily sharpened with a regular liner sharpener- not large sized.  I use the MAC sharpener, but Sephora has a reasonably priced one that works just as well.

There is a tight fitting cap on the liner- which you have to make sure you replace tightly or this wonderful liner will dry up.

HOW TO USE FLASHY PINK LINER

It is very difficult to find a lovely liner that you can use on the waterline that will make you look awake, but this color will do it!

All you have to do is pull your bottom lid slightly to the side to make it taut, and then apply gently to the waterline.  There is NO tugging, and the color applies beautifully and evenly to the lower waterline.  I have found these to stay in place for at least 8 hours, which is unprecedented with ALL other liners- as they tend to vanish (if I even get them to stick at all) within a very short time period.

You can also use FLASHY PINK LINER from SEPHORA as a liner around the eye- it is subtle enough not to look over done.  It is also very nice as an eyeshadow.  If you want to smudge it, you need to move FAST- it will blend beautifully, bit it will set very fast and stay put, so you have to work quickly with your fingers or a good smudge brush.  The 242 brush from MAC works well for this, as does the NARS smudge brush.

HOW DOES FLASHY LINER REMOVE?

Soap and water or makeup remover will take off the FLASHY LINERS.

FINAL COMMENTS

I love these liners.  They have beat out any other liner from ANY other line as far as use on the waterline goes.  When used as a liner by themselves on my eye, sometimes I find that if my lids are oily, they will ghost off into the crease a bit.  With FLASHY PINK, however, that is not a bad problem.  The color is very nice- it would only be a problem on dark skin if that happened.

For darker skinned people, I am not sure if this color would work or not on the waterline, it might be a tad too light, and I have not had the opportunity to try it out on darker skinned ladies.

You can get SEPHORA FLASHY PINK liner at

www.sephora.com

or you can get them at Sephora stores if you are lucky enough to find one near you.  At $8 a pencil, it is an excellent value- and performs better than any high end expensive pencil I have tried to date.

UPDATES:

As time goes on, I hope to be able to update my Flashy Liner reviews with photos of each liner used ON THE EYE as well as the swatches that I have made for you.
