Quick View: I have a few teeth that are super sensitive. I likeĀ Sensodyne Extra Whitening Toothpaste very much but I also worry about brushing away the enamel on my teeth which, at 45, is a concern. I switch my use of toothpastes fairly often but I do like Sensodyne PRONAMEL Anti-Cavity Fluoride Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth. It helps keep my teeth stain free, reduces my sensitivity and protect my tooth enamel.

My Take on Sensodyne PRONAMEL Anti-Cavity Fluoride Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth

This toothpaste comes in a few fresh flavors and all are great for freshening my breath. A four ounce tube is around $5.00 so this is pricier than usual toothpastes but, if you have sensitive teeth, you know it is worth the extra cost.

The toothpaste is not abrasive so it doesn't cause tooth enamel loss which is really important as we age. It has ingredients to gently reduce tooth sensitivity and it truly works. My dentist says it is only brand made that actually works for sensitive teeth and I believe him. Nothing else I have tried worked at all.

Also, Sensodyne PRONAMEL Anti-Cavity Fluoride Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth helps to remove stains and whiten teeth and I do see a difference in the overall look of my teeth with regular use of this toothpaste. I can't actually see if I am saving my tooth enamel but my dentist can and he did say recently that my teeth were in very good shape and the enamel was still quite intact so I take it that this toothpaste is helping or at least not HURTING my teeth.

I often want to use an abrasive toothpaste to scrub away surface stains but that isn't a good things to do. I use a soft head toothbrush even though I want to use a firm head one and I use toothpastes that help to save my tooth enamel and protect it from thinning. That would end up making my teeth weak and eventually they would break and I sure don't need THAT.

Sensodyne PRONAMEL Anti-Cavity Fluoride Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth does it all. It cleans my teeth, protects them from cavities, whitens, wards off sensitivity, and protects my tooth enamel. It's pricier than an average toothpaste but I really do think it is worth it. My mouth is left fresh and clean and my teeth are in the best shape they can be. Although I don't use this toothpaste every single time I brush, I always have it on hand!

My Viewpoint

Tooth enamel needs protecting especially as we age. Using Sensodyne PRONAMEL Anti-Cavity Fluoride Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth is a good step in doing that. there are other toothpaste that do this as well but, if you need a paste that also is effective for sensitive teeth, this one is the best. It's gentle but it works well and it brightens teeth without abrasion. 4 stars.

This really works as do all Sensodyne toothpastes. My dentist gives out tubes of it and says no others work. You do have to use it for a while before your teeth lose sensitivity but they will lose it. I can drink hot and cold stuff and not have any issues now whereas before I would jump out of my skin when something hit the sensitive teeth. (I have a few that are, the rest aren't.)

I have to have them numb my teeth too because my gums are receding on certain teeth and they hurt like crazy if they try to scrape them. they don't use Novocain but some Lidacaine , I think. A swabby thing. It still can hurt though. I hate sensitive teeth!

This is a great toothpaste! I am always trying various products for sensitive teeth. Even when I get my teeth cleaned they have to put a liquid on my gums so that I can't feel them touch my teeth. Yeah, it's that bad! They say electric toothbrushes are good for sensitive teeth too because they aren't as harsh and abrasive.

My teeth have gotten very sensative to the cold of late, so I should try this toothpaste! Thanks for the 411.
