I received a sample of this from my dentist because I have very sensitive teeth. My teeth were hurting from both cold and hot things I would eat. I started brushing twice a day with Sensodyne Toothpaste, and I noticed decreased sensitivity after a few weeks of using it. It didn't totally get rid of the sensitivity, but it made it much more tolerable. It recommends brushing for at least one minute, and I brush for two minutes. I was happy to have decreased sensitivity, but I was very unhappy with the flavor of this toothpaste. It is the worst tasting toothpaste I've ever tried! I actually started dreading brushing my teeth because of it. I also didn't like the way my mouth tasted after I finished brushing. It didn't really feel like my teeth were clean. After finishing the sample, I switched to another brand of sensitive toothpaste. I get the same results without the horrible taste.

I can't say that I know for sure what Sensodyne is doing, but it does seem to be working. My teeth were not sensitive to heat or cold, but did tend to get a sensation when flossing in a particular area. The dentist thought at some point I might need a root canal, but suggested trying Sensodyne to see if it helped at all. It seems to have fixed the problem at least for the short term. Not sure if the Sensodyne is what did it, but will keep using it.

Sensodyne Fresh Mint Toothpaste offers a pleasant taste, contains fluoride to protect against cavitites, and cleans very well. But the most important quality of this toothpaste is its ability to control the pain of sensitive teeth and I can tell you from experience that this product really does work. I love ice cream but sometimes hesitate to take a big bite knowing the shrill feeling it will cause when it hits my teeth. Sensodyne Fresh Mint Toothpaste eliminates the problem. It is dentist recommended, too, and it takes effect slowly but surely, building its barrier in about two weeks. My teeth are very sensitive because I have had quite a bit of work done on them. A few years ago my dentist gave me a sample of the Sensodyne toothpaste and suggested that I try it to help with my sensitive teeth. Let me tell you, this product really does work! You really will start to notice it the most after using it for about one week. It does not eliminate my tooth sensitivity altogether but I do not know if anything would do that. It does make a huge difference in how my teeth feel. I really noticed how much it worked when I went on vacation a few months ago and did not bring my Sensodyne toothpaste with me. I figured I would only be gone for three days so I brought a miniature sized tube of another brand I had on hand. After a couple days without the Sensodyne toothpaste my sensitive teeth were driving me crazy again. It works better than other sensitive teeth brands I have tried. It tastes great also. Well worth an extra buck or two.

My teeth are unnaturally thin, and brittle. The enamel is worn off, and my teeth are extremely sensitive.  I have tried many different kinds of toothpaste that would help with my problem.  Sensodyne seems to work better then any kind I have previously tried.  After using the toothpaste my teeth do not seem to be as sensitive, and the enamel does not seem as worn anymore.  My teeth seem better then mthey have in a long time. My teeth also seem very clean, and the feel of the clean mouth lasts for hours after brushing.  The minty taste is very pleasant, better then most brands, and I do not mind it.  The bottle is also very easy to handle.  My biggest complain is the price.  It is more expensive then most types of toothpaste.  I will not buy this brand unless I have a coupon, or it is on sale.  While it is wonderful for my teeth, the price is not wonderful.  While the product could be cheaper, it is still an amazing product that beats out many other brands of toothpaste.

I was having problems with my teeth being sensitive and my dentist suggested I try the Sensodyne line of products.  I was especially sensitive to cold items, if I ate ice cream I was dancing around in pain.  We used the Fresh Mint toothpaste first.  After about two weeks using the Sensodyne almost all my sensitivity was gone.  I liked the Fresh Mint flavor and I am not usually a fan of "minty" things.  It is not too strongly flavored.   I can now eat ice cream with comfort.  I have tried using some non-sensitivity versions of toothpaste for a change and was sorry about that choice.  The sensitivity comes back almost right away so I plan to stick with Sensodyne.  The only con I can think of is this toothpaste costs a little more than some of the other brands on the shelf.  If you have sensitive teeth that con can be throw out the window once you see how well the product works.  This is one product that is worth every penny!

Many years ago, I learned from friends about Sensodyne, a toothpaste that promised to help bring me relief from teeth that ached whenever I ate or drank anything a bit too hot or cold.  I had begun to despair that I could only eat foods at a tepid temperature for the rest of my life.  No more ice cream, popsicles, or fudge bars.  No more hot chocolate, fresh pizza, or hot soup.  There didn't seem to be anything that could change this sentence. Until my friends told me about Sensodyne.  I then began to read up about this remarkable toothpaste.  I really wanted to believe that I could just brush my teeth, and then I could again eat all my favorite foods, no matter what the temperature!  So I bought Sensodyne, and after a few brushings, decided to take the leap of faith by eating ice cream.  With each cautious mouthful, I was sure the pain would start.  But it never did again, and I never had to give up eating any temperature of food ever again. This miracle meant I would never give up brushing with Sensodyne.  Very fortunately, I also found that Sensodyne did a wonderful of keeping my teeth clean and my breath fresh.  My dentist was also pleased with my new toothpaste and the job it did in keeping my teeth healthy and clean.  I have never had a single cavity, and after long years of using Sensodyne, I have no intention of ever changing from my "miracle" toothpaste.  Has my tooth sensitivity ever returned?  Absolutely not!  So imagine how excited I was to find that Sensodyne had decided to take their original formula to new places by making a mint variety.  I tried it as soon as possible, and the taste was so refreshing.  Mint Sensodyne also continued to give me the protection against tooth sensitivity I had come to rely on so totally.  My teeth are as clean as ever, and I truly love the fresh, fresh minty taste. Thank you, Sensodyne, for making my "miracle" toothpaste more fantastic by adding a mint variety.  You have in me an eternal customer who so much appreciates your efforts in continuing to make improvements like the new Mint Sensodyne.

My dentist prescribed this toothpaste to me after I came in for a six month checkup.  He explained to me that I was brushing my teeth entirely too hard along my gum line, which explained the sensitivity I was experiencing when I ate hot or cold foods. Relieved that I did not have any cavities, I went home and started to use the sensodyne toothpaste he had given me. At first I was a little off-put by the taste; it did not taste anything like the other toothpastes, like crest and aim, that I had always used in the past. I have to say, though, while using Sensodyne Fresh Mint toothpaste, my tooth sensitivity was reduced significantly. I was really pleased with the results. I no longer had to brace myself before drinking a cup of hot coffee or eating ice cream; my teeth felt fine, and better yet, they looked white and shiny as ever. If you are at first disgusted with the taste, give this one a chance, because it really does work.

Sensodyne  Fresh Mint tooth paste was recommended to me by my dental hygenist.                       I had very sensative teeth. Once I used it for about a week I saw the difference.                             If I use any other tooth paste my teeth become  very sensative to cold beverages and ice cream.  I have found the mint flavor to be the best. It does not taste really bad like some others that tend to  have a pasty or chalky taste to it. If you have sensative teeth I highly recomend using sensodyne fresh mint tooth paste. The price of sensodyne fresh mint tooth paste is not much more than regular tooth paste.  The price difference is worth the pain relief you will get from using this product.                              I use to have to use to take motrin to relieve my pain which cost more  money. Thanks to using sensodyne I can eat ice cream and drink  cold  beverages  with out  any  pain.

Since I deperately needed a sensitive toothpaste, I was fortunate to have a sample of Sensodyne's new Fresh Mint toothpaste on hand.  I had used Sensodyne in the past and found the taste to be a bit too pasty and "mediciney", so I was a little hesitant to try it, but like I mentioned was in desparate need since everything I drank - hot or cold - was leaving me with enough tooth pain to try anything but the dentist!  Hoping it was just due to sensitivity and not a cavity in my old teeth :) I brushed with the Fresh Mint Sensodyne and to my surprise, really liked the taste!  It was minty and fresh and the consistency was good as well.  Within about three days the sensitivity in my teeth was gone!   Sensodyne certainly blocked the pain, left me with clean smooth teeth, and minty fresh breath!  Thank goodness for the sample I received from their website.  I now purchas this toothpaste and use it as my primary brand!
