Sennheiser PXC450 noise cancelling headphones are the best I have encountered.  The sound quality as a headphone is very good -- better than Bose -- and the noise cancellation works well.  One of their handy features is a button that allows you to turn off the phones and listen to what is going on around you.  That's a real plus when a stewardess is asking you a question.  Another advantage over the Bose phones is that they will work as regular headphones without batteries when you don't have ambient noise.  The Sennheiser phones are over-the-ear types; they're comfortable, but you're more... read full review »
