Great for dandruff and fungus problems.

5

I have used this shampoo as a shampoo and as a body wash. It has worked great for both. I switched to the natural kind because I always like to use the most natural products. This stuff works wonders. It immediately cured an itchy scalp that I had one winter. It gives really fast results. It also works wonders at treating fungus breakouts on the skin. My skin produces too much fungus and so I get spots on my skin. My doctor recommended trying this as a body wash to treat them. It has gotten rid of all of my spots. I use it every day and it works great. It definitely works at treating skin problems and dandruff. I would highly recommend this if you are struggling with either one. I will continue to use it daily. Effectiveness It has been incredibly effective for me. It cleared up my itchy scalp and dandruff. It also completely cleared up a fungus problem on my skin. It only took about two days of using it for it to treat both problems. It is highly effective. Scent I do not love the scent but it is still worth using.

I was very disappointed with Selson Blue Naturals

I have moderate dandruff and have tried many different shampoos to get rid of it. A couple years ago I found that Selsun Blue works very well at making my dandruff disappear and so I have been using it for awhile. When the Selsun Blue Naturals came out I thought it would be even better for my hair so I bouht it as soon as I got a chance. I tried it for a few weeks, used almost the whole bottle and it had done barely anything with my dandruff. It didn't get itchy again but it got very flaky. At first I thought it would just take a little while to kick in, but after using almost the whole bottle and seeing very little improvement, I have to say I was quite disappointed. I would not suggest Selsun Blue Naturals to people with dandruff, although it could work for someone else. It probably varies from person to person. I have friends that use head and shoulders and it works good for their dandruff but it doesn't work for me.

My head always used to be itchy until I started using this shampoo once a week. I'd tried the regular kind but couldn't stand the way my hair smelled afterwards. The smell from the regular kind bothered me so much I'd start to get a headache and I'd actually have to go wash my hair again with another kind of shampoo just to get rid of the smell. Then I saw this in the store one day and decided to try it. The scent is so much better. It doesn't bother me at all! And it works just as well as the regular stuff at helping with my dry itchy scalp. I use it once a week washing with regular shampoo the other days and it totally does the trick. I itch less. My scalp doesn't bother me. And the smell is pleasant and leaves my hair feeling nice too.

My Son and I use this product he is 13 years old with long thin hair and I am 40 something with thick short hair.  We both Like the end result meaning we wash our hair and Selsun Blue product is one of very few that does not give us a tender scalp after using.  We have tryed other shampoos and after washing our hair, later that day we would start feeling discomfort in our scalps kid like a burning feeling.  Sinse I have been using Selsun blue Product it does not happen and my son was growing up he started to feel the same with other shampoos and I was able to relate and told him to use my Shampoo and I worked for him too. I was happy have something in common with him and that it worked by taking the discomfort away, also leaves our hair clean and fresh and we run to the market when we are running low to buy more.  I have tryid other products and have alway come back to Selsun Bule again and again.

I have been fighting drp scalp for years and just thought that's the way my life will be.  I will just have to avoid wearing dark colors and resist the temptation to scratch my scalp whenever I felt an itch.  I thought I had tried everything but my mother suggested Selsun Blue Naturals.  I was skeptical as all the other shampoos I had tried did not work and I thought all shampoos were the same.  Boy was I wrong!  The first time I used it I could feel my scalp tingling in the shower, so I thought maybe this shampoo could be different.  I used it for 3 more days and poof the problem was gone.  I have since discovered a food allergy that had been causing my dry scalp but I still use Selsun Blue whenever I go overboard on the food or if I just want that squeaky clean feeling.  I love the way it smells and can wager to say that all shampoos are NOT created equal, that's for sure. I never travel anywhere without it.

Selsun Blue Selsun Blue Naturals didn't take away my dandruff

I was excited, when I received a sample of Selsun Blue Naturals Dandruff Shampoo by Selsun Blue, but that changed after I used it and still had dandruff.  It says that it has eight intensive moisturizers & botanicals plus vitamins B5 & E and that it helps restore hair to its natural, healthy state.  Maybe, if you have a mild dandruff problem, it would help, but I have a small patch of eczema causing my dandruff.  I am always wanting to try new shampoos to see if I can find more than one brand that helps.  I have found that T-Gel is the only one that can take care of the dandruff when it flares.  Now, with that said, the Selsun Blue Naturals does have a nice citrus scent and let me tell you, most dandruff shampoos have a lot lacking in the scent department!  I have fine, limp hair and this shampoo did not weigh it down and did leave it feeling clean and soft.  Again, I have tried other dandruff shampoos that did not do that much.  I would say if you have mild dandruff, this product may be worth the try, but if you have a more serious problem, stick with a trusted standby or more serious dandruff shampoo.

Not convinced one way or another

In the winter, my scalp tends to get a tad dry and itchy.  Normally, I don't do much about it and simply wait for the winter to end.  This year I decided to do something about it when I saw *Selsun blue's Naturals Dandruff Shampoo*. The shampoo contains 3% sallicylic acid as well as "8 intensive moisturizers & botanicals plus vitamins B5 & E".  This, along with its promise to "restore hair to its natural, healthy state", sold me!  Boy was I let down... The citrus smell was much better than the normal smell I remember Selsun to have in the past, but it did nothing to soften my hair.  I did feel a slight tingling while in the shower, which led me to believe it was working, however I didn not feel any difference after my hair was dry. My other pet peeve is that this product leads the consumer to believe that it is a *natural* product.  Many products seem to be doing this these days since consumers are trending towards the "green" way.  Reading the label on the back, I can't really figure out what is natural about this product.  It may use some different additives than the regular Selsun, but I can't even pronounce most of the ingredients. In summary, it works as a shampoo, but don't expect too much more.
