Cradle cap is a common condition in babies, leaving dry scaly patches that are almost impossible to get off on their scalps. My daughters case was terrible. I tried everything I could to comb the scales off her head but they just kept coming back. My pediatrician recommended trying Selsun Blue. It is pretty expensive for a shampoo but it really worked great! After about a week of using this shampoo, my daughters cradle cap was gone for good after months of trying. It does have a really harsh smell and since its a medicated shampoo and not a baby shampoo you have to be very careful not to get it in their eyes. We didn't use anywhere near the entire bottle, it only took a small amount to help her scalp. I have used it a couple times when we've run out of regular shampoo, it works like normal shampoo on me. You can definitely tell its medicated, it tingles when your scalp comes in contact with it.
