We had a Select Comfort Sleep Number bed for 11 years. The bed was comfortable at first but after 2 1/2 yrs the cheap foam and padding wore out. No problem, 20 year warranty, yes! No! 2 yr full warranty, 18 yr prorated warranty. Shame on us for not reading the fine print at time of purchase. Select Comfort wanted a RIDICULOUS amount of money to replace the foam and padding.

You do get a hammock affect if you have a sleep partner. For couples who like to snuggle, not the bed for you. Once the cheap foam wears out, the dips and trenches get even worse.

The only good thing I can say is that we didn't have a problem with the air compressor or the remote. I would recommend on getting the wireless remote. Also the older models, like mine, have had a history of growing black mold inside the mattress. I didn't have that problem and I periodically checked. I would recommend checking for black mold on old and new Sleep Number beds even though the factory has said they have fixed the problem.

We have recently thrown away this worthless piece of crap and learned a very expensive lesson. Also note their 30 night trial - you have to pay to ship the bed back to the factory which I have read is anywhere between $150-200 - not really a free trial.

I agree with you. I have had my bed for only 4 yrs and within the first 2 yrs the foam padding ripped about 3 ft long and still ripping and when I lifted up the pillowtop it has alot of rips in it. I will be writing to the ceo of the company and I hope you as well, I went to some other reviews and they are also sending complaints. Poor quality for the company not to replace some padding and a pillowtop that is cheaply made in the first place.
