The Sleep Number bed 3000 was well worth our money. We got the queen sized, pillow top mattress with dual control. When my hubby and I got married we argued about a soft verses hard mattress. He thought he needed a herd one and I thought I wanted it soft. When we found this bed, we were in for a big...

Is a mattress a mattress? In the past, many would have answered this question in the affirmative since there were few fundamental differences from one mattress to the next. Today, however, mattresses are technologically advanced and one of the more unusual and innovative mattresses is the Sleep Number...

I have the Select Comfort Sleep Number 3000 bed, and I hate this bed. The commercial shows a couple lying in bed sleeping so soundly with each of them having their own sleep number. Absolute comfort right??? Well apparently that only happens if you and your bed mate have almost the exact number because my husband and I are drastically different he sets his bed to approx. 50 (out of 100, 0 being almost no air and 100 being so rock hard you couldnt possibly sleep on it) and I set my side to 25 doesnt seem to be much of a difference number wise, until you get into the bed and my side of the bed is... read full review »

In 2004 my wife and I made the decision to invest in a Select Comfort bed. The salesperson suggested it would help alleviate my back pains. Since then I have developped additional back pains, and now I am suffering from shoulder pain as well. I was also sold into purchasing the electrically adjustable bed frame (possibly the best part of the purchase)

I was told to give it several months before I would adjust to the comfort... Well it has not happened yet in the 4 years we've owned it.

The fabric shell which encloses the mattress components (foam rails, inflatable mattress, tubes, etc.) has stretched...

I love to sleep. LOVE IT.

So, due to back pain from a car accident and just a crappy matress, I decided to try my hand at a sleep number bed.

I knew someone who worked there.

I've had my bed for a year and while, yes, my quality of sleep IS better, it still kinda sucks.

I still get VERY minor back pain as well as weird kinks in my body. Yes, my whole body. My legs, arms, neck and hips.

My biggest complaint is that even while I'm not on the bed, I go to bed finding that the inflation is not at 100 but 15, 45 or 80.

Weird.

But over all... I do like it much better than my old spring matress.

My husband and I were newlyweds sleeping on his mattress set that was quite old...and worn. It was more than evident (after many many sleepless nights) that we needed a new bed set up. We had seen the advertisement on tv for the sleep number bed and know a few couples that love theirs. We went to the Select Comfort store where we got an idiot of a sales rep...however were in heaven the moment we laid down. Finally a bed that we could both be comfortable with. I could have a soft setting, my husband could have a bit firmer.... Sounds great huh? Of course while we're in the store buying our bed we...

I purchased a select number sleep bed 3000, a couple years ago and have hated it ever since I got it. The stupid air chambers keep breaking and customer service keeps sending me the wrong parts. What a mess. I would never recommend this bed to anyone. Like other customer compliants, there is a big sinkhole in the middle of the bed and I am constantly waking up in the sinkhole. My back and arms have never hurt so bad. Please do not spend your hard earned money on this crappy bed. I want to throw it in the dump. I can't believe I am still paying for this stupid bed. I spent over 3000.00 on a piece...

the select comfort was sold to us in one of the mall stores. at the time of the sale, she said that the bed came with a ten year warranty.NOT. after four years, there was  mold on the inside of the pillowtop foam , and the pump died.the air mattresses do not stay inflated and select comfort then tells you the warranty is actually good for one year. so for the three thousand dollars for this bed i should have bought a normal sealy. or many normal sealys for the price. never again, i give this bed a one star out of 50. and select comfort gets a big fat zero. and someone should start a class action...

This bed is the first thing my husband and I bought after we were married just over a year ago. It has made a huge change in both of our lives. We sleep better at night, we wake up happy and I no longer have to walk around like I am a hundred years old when I first get out of bed in the morning. I wake up 100% pain free! Another great thing about the sleep number bed is that we didn't have to choose a mattress based on firmness and actually agree on something. He sleeps at a 60 and I like it soft at 35. This was the best purchase I ever made and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Comfort Sleep Number Bed 3000 is the really something well worth investing in. It will last a lifetime. To me, a lifetime worth of good sleep is one of the most important things that I can do for my health. I know by health standards it is requested that everyone should get 8 hours of sleep a night. With this bed, it is so easy to do because one just falls asleep almost instantly.

This is the best thing that I ever bought. I sleep all through the night and don't toss and turn. I'm currently pregnant and being able to adjust to my growing body has been heaven sent. It took me a long time to decide what bed to purchase and as soon as I laid down on this bed I knew it would be perfect. I used to have a pillow top spring mattress and it didn't adjust to my body like my Sleep Number. I show it to everyone who comes over and when they lay down on it and adjust the bed, they are hooked too.

This is absolutely the best purchase my husband and I have made in the past 3 years - we had an old box springs/matress combo when I got pregnant with our first child and I was NOT sleeping much at all and was always sore when I woke up.  We bought our Sleep Number bed and the change was noticible the first night!  I started sleeping more (except for those nightly trips to the bathroom) and woke up feeling great.  It has continued to be wonderful and is certainly worth the money!

My husband no longer snores, needless to say, he wakes up in the morning well rested. And so do I. We are able to fall asleep quickly. The nice thing about the bed is I sometimes sleep with a #35, and other nights at a  #20. My husband sleeps with # 30 always. (whatever it takes) I am so pleased no more snoring.  I happily recomend the bed,  I wish we would have purchased one 10 years ago.

We bought this bed about 3 years ago.  My only regret about it is that we didn't buy it when I was pregnant.  It would've been a Godsend then.

A couple of caveats:

As another reviewer mentioned, there is a piece of foam separating both sides of the bed.  Along with the fact that both my husband and I end up with a hammock like concavity in our sides of the bed, this higher lump of foam makes cuddling impossible.  One thing we did do was invest in a 2 inch memory foam mattress topper for about $150 (Costco) and that seems to have smoothed out that feeling of the center lump somewhat. ...

My husband and I decided to get a Sleep Number bed before we got married because I prefer soft mattresses while he prefers a firm mattress. Although the 3000 is the lowest quality model, the price was still a bit ridiculous (about $2000...) This bed is pretty much a glorified air mattress. After only a few months, it got the 'hole' in the middle that a normal spring mattress gets after years and years of use. It is very irritating because we are always rolling towards the middle. Not only that, on the inside of the bed there is a divider wall in between the two separate air chambers. The only thing...
