I originally had the Sedu Professional Ceramic Tourmaline Straightening Iron in the 1.5" until it started to short out on me and I couldn't stand it turning on and off a million times while I tried to straighten my hair. Every time that I get my hair done my stylist uses a 1" flat iron to straighten my hair...and for her its pretty quick and my hair is straight and shiny. Comparing this one to my old one...I got a better straightening done with the old, 1.5" flat iron. I do have long hair, and I knew that when buying the smaller one that they are intended for shorter hair styles...but I didnt care. I got on a kick of trying something a little different. I do like Sedu irons...but I should have went against my own wishes and bought the same size as I had. The cord is great, it is on a rotational piece that doesnt allow it to get tangled and the cord is super long. It makes my hair shiny...and it does straighten...I just have to take more time to do really small areas of my hair and go over them a few times.
Final thoughts: I highly recommend Sedu for flat irons, just be sure to get the right one for your hair type and length.
