When is an online game not a game? When it’s Second Life, a social game that has addicted many who have played it. Second Life gets high praise from many reviewers and for good reason- it is one of the few social game sites around and it actually lets you, the player, create your own content and even earn real money in the process. Reviewers also love the excellent graphics and they like the easy to use designer tools. Second Life is “A Great Social Game that Offers a Lot of Fun” and “A World Where You Can be or Experience Anything You Can Imagine”. A few have said that Second Life is a little confusing at first and some are worried about the potential for online addiction. But most everyone sees the social and entertainment value in this Games Web Site, and this is enough to earn Second Life a better than average rating.

For people who are not online gamers, something like Second Life (aka SL) is a hard concept to grasp. Many times I have had people ask "What do you do in SL?" and I simply say "Anything".

Virtual World in your Real World

I've been a member of Second Life for almost 2 years now.  I enjoy it. I've met some really nice people to talk to. I've also met a bunch of pervs who I've muted (blocked). Second Life (known as SL) allows my alter ego to come out! :)  I can have huge houses. I can travel the SL world and I can dress in all the latest fashions and not spend a fortunre. 

SL allows me to log on at night and explore and talk to friends. One thing bad about SL is that the online population has grown so fast that the servers can't keep up with the demand. There is a lot of lag.

I decided to check out Second Life for the fun of it...and I'm completely hooked.  I'm the artsy creative type and really enjoy manipulating my avatar.  As a woman it's fun doing the virtual shopping as well!  I do have a concern with the fact I have run into minors on the adult site and it is NOT the place for children.  I have signed up for a free account and I have a hard time with thinking about buying a paid account for the simple reason there are many glitches with logging in and the site drags at times because of over "population".  Try it out...join with a couple of friends and have...

I've been playing this game for a few weeks, it's fun.  I have a lot of friends there.  It's interesting, but sometimes it's slow because of peoples connection speeds that slow everyone else up on a site.  So people with slow connections please don't decide to play this game, until you get broadband.

I tried to use this site/game and could not understand how to play. There are few directions and I felt lost in the game once I began.
