I read this series starting weeks before the last book of the series was published, and finished with all of the books just in time to read the last book.

The stories are well paced, the characters are interesting enough that you can become invested in them and will want to follow them though all 12 of the books.

The writing may not be of the highest literary quality, but the pacing, the creative images that the authors are able to bring to life and of course, providing a modern setting on the end of days story is very compelling. In addition their ability to carry a story about numerous characters through 12 books in a cohesive manner is great. Also not to be missed are the prequils which followed the ending of the series.

Even if you do not read the Bible literally, or if you are not a Christian these books are a great read.
